Baby spit up blood

It's definitely from cracked nipples; I've been having BFing problems from the beginning. But my question is should I keep BFing? Has this happened to anyone else? I don't know if the blood is going to hurt her or not and I feel like a terrible mom because it happened.

A couple of weeks ago, my nipples were bleeding like crazy and I pumped until they were intact enough to BF again. I was hoping so badly that something like this wouldn't happen and I really want to EBF, but as of now, it doesn't seem fair to her. My supply was already starting to decrease while I was pumping, so I'm worried about that too.

Ok, I'm done and I apologize for this being so long. TIA for any advice or experience. I'm definitely stressing right now.

My LO is  2 weeks old and I have dealt with this. I ended up just not bfing for as long on that side. I have not pumped at all. Hang in there. Maybe contact a LC.

It is fine to continue feeding her even if you are bleeding, it won't hurt her. I also had cracked bleeding nipples. My advice would be to pump again to give your nipples a chance to heal and contact a LC as soon as you can. The sooner you can fix that latch, the better it will be for both of you! Good luck and I hope you find some good answers soon!

When I was still BFing I would feed her and then squeeze some extra breast milk out and rub it on my nipples. They healed a lot faster with that than any cream. Also consult a LC. You shouldn't still be bleeding. LO may have a bad latch. The blood won't hurt your LO though.
