We told our families.

It was so fun. My in-laws were over for Christmas Eve dinner and we skyped to my family to say hi and Merry Christmas. My grandfather was with my family and my husband asked him how he'd like being a great-grandfather. He just kind of looked at us. Then my husband said, "Cause she's pregnant." Everyone got so excited and was screamed and my mom and MIL were yelling at each other about being grandmas together. It's the first grandkid and great grandkid on either side, so everyone was so excited. The best was my grandfather telling us what his name would be in German and how he couldn't stop smiling.

We are telling our family today.  My mom knows, she lives in South Carolina (and we are in NY) so I called her as soon as I got home from the doctors.  I have been dying to tell my Dad and my in-laws but also wanted to wait and tell them in person so we will do it today when we see them.  I am like a kid waiting for Santa, I just can't wait to see them and tell them!!!

That's great! We told my family yesterday.  It didn't quite go as planned, but it didn't matter and everyone was so excited.  It's a bit of a relief to finally have people to talk to about this IRL.

Thats so awesome!  We told my extended family last night.  It is so much fun seeing how much joy the news brings.  It is such a happy time. :)
