What have you enjoyed?

I've been exceptionally whiny the past week (for which I have apologized to my husband), but it made me think that not everything about pregnancy has been bad.

Here's what I've loved about being pregnant:

No period

The kindness people have shown me

Feeling the magic of my baby kicking

Being able to be pregnant. Because many women who want to can't.

Now you!

Happy holidays everyone!

Definitely the movement and the parents excitement (I'm a gestational carrier).

Great idea!

I have enjoyed being able to BE pregnant after 2 losses, my DH doting upon me and not having to constantly be counting calories (especially during the holiday season!).

Merry Christmas :)

The thicker hair (mine is so fine!).

The pregnancy glow.

No period. I had sticker shock when I went and bought some pads the other day!

While I do love feeling DD kick, I'd much rather her be on the outside so I can eat w/e I want again (stupid GD) and have a glass of wine!

Looking pregnant and not fat! I was obese to begin with and I was so happy when it was obvious I was preggers and not just fat anymore!

I love how excited my in-laws are, it's the first grandchild/great-grandchild/niece!

And probably my most favorite, how close hubby and I have become. Things have changed for the better. He's so in tune to my needs and wants. Doing the Bradley Method together has really been an adventure and I've loved how involved he's been!

I've loved not worry about when my period will surprise me (part of my infertility was 90-120 day cycles)

Also feeling the baby, hearing his heartbeat, and being the sole provider for him.

Seeing the excitement of my husband.

The attention when people say "You're all baby" and "You look so good pregnant" because I feel like a house.

The belly. I LOVE MY BELLY. How often in life do you get to say that?!

My little miracle.

- No period has been awesome!

- Feeling all squishy inside when I talk to baby and she kicks around. I feel this intense connection with her that I can't wait for daddy to have with her.

- My husband making me feel like the prettiest lady in the world when I feel like a boat.

- The thought of watching this little girl grow up and experience everything all over again. I can't wait to teach her things and also learn things from her.

For me, the best part is watching how my husband interacts with our LO already.  He reads her stories, "dances" with her, gives her kisses, and insists that they have a secret club (so they whisper secrets to eachother).

I also love how close DH and I have become since I've been pregnant.  I know it's cliche, but we're a family now--instead of just a couple.

And I agree, no periods ROCK!

This is exactly how DH and I feel.  I know some people are offended by this, but we definitely feel like before DS1 was born we were just a couple, now we 're a family.

Ditto this.  Can't wait for the formation of our own little family!  Mostly, the things I appreciate about this pregnancy are the same as most the rest of you...

- DH has been so amazing, looking after me, telling me l look great, giving me back rubs and footrubs, cooking, bringing me whatever I ask for... He's such a gem.

- Like the OP, I'm also very thankful that we were able to get pregnant my all as I know many women can't.

(Getting to quit the job I never liked has been great, too!)
