BTDT moms, question

Does your child seem to not want to be with you now? Li wants nothing to do with me, she only wants DH. I went to get her out of her crib after her nap, she pushed my hands away and started yelling 'dada'. When he didn't come, she laid back down. When we are both in the room, she goes directly to him and doesn't even look at me. The only time she seems to want me is when she knows he's not in the house.

My friend said this happened to her when she was pregnant with her second and that kids can sense we are pregnant and get mad. I'm feeling super emotional and my 1 year old is about to make me cry.

Is anyone else going through this?

This is normal toddler behavior and not related to pregnancy. My LO started to just want daddy around that age too. Now he goes back and forth which I like because I can get some time to myself in the evenings! It hurt my feelings at first but with a new baby coming it may make things easier for everyone. I encourage lots of "daddy time" now.

DD wants me for sleep and food. Other then that its Daddy that is the favorite. She doesn't push me away, but she does fuss a lot if I try to cuddle her other than when she is sleepy or really wants to. It does suck, but I've found that it is a phase.

Yeah I'd day you just have a daddy's girl and has nothing to do with you being pregnant! Just enjoy the fact that she loved him so much!!!!

I think this is just a stage she is going through that only reflects her age, not your pregnancy. I SAH so I actually was really excited for DH when ever either child had a strong preference for him over me. So much of the time I'm their first choice, it's nice for him to be the shining star if only for a short period of time.

DD has been just as clingy as ever.  I was really glad to have some extra hands to help entertain her this holiday weekend, but unfortunately there were many times when only mama would do.  I haven't noticed any changes with the pregnancy, probably just their typical part of their social development.

Nope. Almost the opposite. My almost 16m old wants me almost always.

My dd has always been a mommas girl but since i became pregnant with #2- she has been excessively clingy, needy, and wants to help me do everything.

She is definitely a daddy's girl, which is great at 6:30 am, I get to sleep and he does the mornings. I'm home with he all day, so I know she loves it when she gets him all day too. I was a daddy's girl with a SAHM, too, so I totally get it. Yesterday just got me.

I'm not one to blame hormones, but I'm way more hormonal and emotional this time then I was with her...

Its ok. I'm feeling the weepy/anxiety this time around a lot more too. I blame less sleep in general.

My DD won't leave me alone. She wanted me and only me to hold her at Christmas Mass, and is usually that way in Costco, and at home she is always climbing all over me.
