Bloated!!!

Hello ladies,

First of all Merry Christmas to one and all!

I'm pregnant with my first baby and I'm 5w7d. I've been feeling sick all day long. I don't feel like talking to anyone, don't have an appetite and my taste buds are really bad. I've never been constipated my entire life and now I'm constipated. It kills me every time I go to poop and my tummy is bloated!!! Please advice what can I do to avoid the bloatness and constipation. I couldn't sleep last night whatsoever!

Please help!!!

I was told by my OB that over the counter stool softener is safe to take during pregnancy.

I know how you feel. I also am not feeling 100 today...

Oh, it's lovely, the bloat sticks around, and then just when it goes down, your belly is actually starting to stick out from baby!  I'm not even 5 weeks yet, so I don't have the bloat going on yet, but I wore maternity dress pants from 8 weeks on with my 1st.

Just a quick questions ... if you're 5w7d ... wouldn't that make you 6w0d?  Just askin'! 

Why don't you take something to help you get unconstipated?  There are things safe for pregnancy.  

I'm not constipated but I'm perpetually gassy and bloated.  Sucks.  It'll get better.  

Me - 32, DH - 32. We have been TTC #2 since January 2012.
BFP on 12/3/12, EDD 8/19/13, U/S 1/17/13 showed blighted ovum, d&c 1/24/13

aessary03: Lol! My thoughts exactly. I donno why my OB says 5w7d and there's an app I use to keep a track of my pregnancy and that also says 5w7d. Apparently, my 6th week would start tomorrow i.e on Wednesday, Dec 26. I also feel it sounds strange, but I guess everyone goes with the count of 7 days in a week.
