ThatWasAHoot:Okay I know I am a STM and we did the whole frozen milk thing the first time and now are doing it again.nbsp; Why is it rotten?nbsp; What happens to make it this way?
It's called lipase. It's some kind of enzyme that affect the fat in the milk somehow. I'm not 100 sure of how it works. But I know it can occur in some women. After 24hrs in the fridge it will start to smell and taste funny. From what I have read its ok to give it to the baby he or she just might not accept it because of smell and taste. If you thaw out a bag it will most likely also smell bad. I called the LC and hopefully they call me tomorrow so I can make sure this is really what's going on.
It's depressing! I have all this frozen BM that I may have to toss if my LO refuses it.
