Not ttc / vent

My husband and I have been married for 3 1/2 years. We have been cleaning up our finances and trying to save for a house. We were about 6 months from looking for a house and ttc and my dh had to go to the hospital. Dh is, thankfully, fine, but now our house fund will probably need to go to medical bills.

I guess another year in this apartment and no ttc.

I'm sorry about your setback, but you are right to be thankful about your husband being okay.  Hopefully, you will be able to make up the money faster than you think or find an amazing deal on a house.

Hopefully the New Year will be bright for you!

We do, so it could be A LOT worse! We have a $3000 out of pocket max though. We'll see when we get the bills.

That is nothing compared to most plans. And how were you at $3k in savings and 6 months out from buying a home (you did say that visit would drain your house savings)? You think you will find a house for $15K? Shiit, you will be lucky if $3k covers your closing costs.

Honestly, if that will break you- you may want to reconsider the whole buying a home/having a child discussion at this time. On an 18 month interst free payment plan (which many hospitals will do if you bother to ask), that monthly payment comes out to less than $170 a month.
