A warm and fuzzy intro

Hello ladies!

I won't bore you with tons of details. I just wanted to pop in and give a quick intro so you all wouldn't wonder who the new chick is.

I got my bfp today, just scheduled with my doc at the end of January. While I know some like to do the onesie presentation, or a card, or something cute for their husband...I just said holy sh!t after getting three positives this morning and took the test in for H to see. There were no tears, nor jumping up and down...just this sly smile and the beginnings of conversation about nursery room planning, taking off from work, etc.

A little abut me: I'm a high school band and orchestra director and publications adviser. I work in a small charter school, so I get to wear a lot of hats! My first love is music, though, and I have great students that make my job pretty darn easy to deal with. H is an attorney, and we have been married for 6.5 years (together since 2000). We have three cats (Anchovy, Tolstoy, and Extra) and one dog (Caliope) and have been knee-deep in home renovations for the last year and a half.

I look forward to getting to know everyone over the course of the next few months!

Congrats and welcome! LOVE your animals' names.

Thank you! I can't take credit for Anchovy -- the shelter named him that :) Extra was an accidental rescue lol. And Tolstoy we had to rename immediately because his name was Rodger *** and he's a solid black Maine ***. Seriously, the shelter named him that.

haha. That's a descriptive name! We rescued one of our cats; the shelter had named him Chuck Norris. We kept the name.
