Beta is In :)

I feel like I can finally breathe!!!! My beta this morning 13dp3dt was 176! After 2 years, I feel like I can finally let myself believe that this is real. DH is SO excited! I don't go back for another beta until the 2nd, but my RE said everything looked great and she even said I could stop the prometrium and Vivelle- does that sound right to anyone else?

A huge THANK YOU to everyone for all the support and knowledge on this crazy journey! I'm sure I will still be lurking around here for a little bit while I wait on that second beta, but will keep my updates to the check-in. I still cannot believe it's finally happened :)

Yippee! How exciting! Congrats to you! I can't help on the meds as I'm not familiar with those two.

Me: 35, DH: 36, ttc: 3+ years, dx: unknown
10/11: after 2 years, saw a RE, FSH 5.4
11/11: BFP! (surprise after thyroid med & normal hsg),
12/11: missed m/c after 7 week u/s,
1/12: D&C,
6/12 IUI #1: clomid, 5 mature follicles, excellent sperm,= BFN,
7/12: IUI #2: clomid, 3 mature follicles, excellent sperm= BFN,
8/12: IUi #3: clomid, 5 follicles, = BFP!, C/P
10/12 IVF #1: FSH 5.4, estradiol AFC: 14, long Lupron 150/bravelle75,5R/5M/4F, all 4 made it to 5dt, 1 blast and 1 8 cell transferred. No frosties. BFN
IVF #2: AFC 21, MD lupron 12/25, 225bravelle/150men, 4R/4M/3F, 5dt of 1 blast BFN
IVF #3: natural start antagon, starting 3/30, ER 4/11, 12R,11M,10F

8/1/12 - IVF #1 - Zero response from max stims (600iu intramuscularly)
My ovaries seem to be just for decoration

12/6/12 - Adopted five embryos that had been frozen for over ten years!
2/11/13 - Thawed four, sadly two didn't survive. Transferred two beautiful blasts.

2/16/13 - First BFP of my life!
3/27/13 - No heartbeat at 9w0d. D&C the following day.

4/23/13 - Matched to adopt five new embryos!

Yay!!  So happy for you :)  I don't know about those specific meds.  I do know my progesterone was low (14 - I hadn't done my PIO shot before my blood test), but they are taking me off the PIO and the suppositories I was using and switching me to Crinone.  I'll be on that for at least 30 days.

Good luck with your 2nd beta!  At least you get yours before I get mine!! :)

That is awesome!  Congratulations!  I do not know about the meds, but I wouldn't worry.  Trust your dr, he got you into this position :)  So happy for you!

Ultrasound 1/10 - Nothing completely empty uterus Beta 1/14 - 743; Beta 1/17 - 1704 ultrasound shows nothing. Officially a miscarriage. 1/21 Beta 3900 Dr. says it ectopic. Ultrasound shows a miracle heartbeat right in the uterus where it belongs! Dr. says I can be cautiously optomistic!!! Hang in there baby!

Congrats! I would ask why she is taking you off the meds, my guess is that your progesterone numbers are very high and don't need the extra support. But never hurts to ask and know. GL to you!

Great news!!!! My clinic's protocol is vivelle until 8 weeks and prometrium until 12. They admit its a bit of overkill, but I'm just doing what they tell me. Ask your doc if you can stay on a few weeks longer if you feel its too soon. In any case, happy baby belly!!!!!!

Together 7 years and legally married in 2013!
Me: 41 (Excited to carry!) DW: 44
June 2012: First RE appt.due to age + plan to use DS
Sept 2012: Both fallopian tubes removed due to blockage
Dec 2012: Donor Egg/Donor Sperm IVF Cycle - BFP! EDD 8/29/13
Mar 15 2013: Missed miscarriage at 15w4d(discovered at 16w1d via home Doppler).
Mar 22 2013: D&E. Tests showed death due to (fluke) blood clot in umbilical cord. :( Genetics all good.
May 24 2013: Hysterscopy to remove uterine adhesion post D&E.
We have three frosties. Hoping for FET in late July 2013!
We live in Seattle and used SRM for our Donor Egg IVF cycle.

I was told the prometrium would continue for me at least even after a BFP but I guess every RE's protocol is different. Fantastic news,congrats!!!!!!

Awesome news! For my IVF cycle if I wouldn't have m/c I would of stayed on prometrium and vivelle for 12-16 weeks. With FET it's the same with PIO and vivelle. I know every RE is different but I've never heardbofbthem stopping the meds at a BFP. I would call just for peace of mind. After all, that's why they get paid the big bucks!

12/12: IVF#1 w/ICSI
ER: 12/9, 12R/12M/9F; ET: 12/14, transferred 1 perfect 1AA blast, 4 frosties!
+HPT: 12/23, Beta 1 (12dp5dt): 460 (!), Beta 2 (14dp5dt): 1172 (!!), u/s 1: one healthy lima bean with a heartbeat of 161 bpm!
