What did your RE advise regarding exercise?

I go nuts not having any physical activity and my RE never mentioned anything about restrictions, only that I probably would be uncomfortable during stims and wouldn't want to. So, I am not uncomfortable and wasn't during my last ivf either. I feel 10 pounds heavier since eating crap through the holidays. Did your doctor mention anything to you? (I'm not talking marathons here, either. Just a few mile jog, spinning, lifting weights, etc.)

Me: 35, DH: 36, ttc: 3+ years, dx: unknown
10/11: after 2 years, saw a RE, FSH 5.4

My RE said once I start stims no exercise except for walking. He said you can be at risk for ovarian torsion if you exercise while your ovaries are too big. I am squeezing in as many intense workouts as I can before I start stims!

I started stims yesterday, and I'm a little annoyed that NO ONE at my doctors office mentioned the no exercise thing, when I see so many here have been told to avoid it. I called today about caffeine due to an earlier post..They're typically super organized and informative, but just a little ticked off. I feel like that was a biggie.

Interesting!  I should clarify that they did say no swimming in between ER and a week after ET for infection reasons, but not otherwise.

I have to share this because it made me crack up.  I asked my RE what my restrictions would be during the cycle.  She said before stimming, the rule was only no motrin and no heroin.  She said exercise was fine, but that as the cycle progressed I would "really be feeling my ovaries" and not want to run as much.

Me (37) DH (39); Finally correctly diagnosed with DOR in 2012; Started TTC 2009; RE 2009/2010- RE cycle #1 clomid+ ovidrel + TI = BFN; RE cycle #2 clomid + ovidrel + TI=BFN; RE cycle #3 femara + ovidrel + IUI= BFN; RE cycle #4 75iu follistim + ovidrel + IUI= BFN; RE cycle #5 150iu follistim + ovidrel + IUI = BFN ; Took a break and had Weight loss surgery in 2011, back to new RE in 2012 ; AMH 0.43 IVF #1 /ICSI and AH; MDL protocol - ER 2/11 5R, 3M, 2F Three day transfer of 8 cell grade 3 and 8 cell grade 2 embryos.
