Double first name question?

So, there's a traditional second name of a double first that's used in my mom's family. The "second name" is Inez. So, my great-great-grandmother was Iris Inez, my great-grandmother was Patricia Inez, and my grandmother was Emma Inez.  These were all double first names with no hyphen and no middle names, should I keep it like that? We're thinking the first part of the name would be Joan. So, which do you guys think?

FN: Joan MN: Inez

FN Joan Inez No MN

FN Joan Inez with MN (middle name being considered is some derivation of Alice/Alison, as my middle name before I took my maiden as middle after marriage was Allison; also considering Veronica)

FN Joan-Inez MN one of the considered above

A quick other question, do you prefer the spelling Inez or Ines?

1. I would keep the family tradition of using Inez in a double middle, with the Inez spelling.

2. I think it is perfectly ok to add a middle name — that honors the family tradition, but gives you more room to make it your own.

3. I think Joan Inez is too close to Joan Baez.

If the spelling used was Inez, I would keep that.

I am also considering a double name for a phantom DD, and I think if we chose to go that route we would use the following format:

firstname firstname middle last.  So for you I like

Joan Inez Allison Lastname

I like to stick with tradition, so if no middle name is normal then go for it!  is your last name something your daughter would want as a middle name later?

I would use Inez for the spelling, cause that's is what your family has been using.

I say if you like the tradition, stick with it... and keep the original spelling.

If you want to use a MN go for for it, otherwise I think that Double FN is pretty much the same as FN and MN (I know this is not the case legally, but it seems so similar in my opinion.)

I say stick with the tradition. Two first names, no middle name, and spelled Inez.

We've been toying w/ the double first name. I can't find a good flow w/ firstname first name middle name last name. I like Joan Inez Alison

I understand it's tradition but I don't care for the two FNs and no MN. I say either totally stick with the tradition correctly, or don't do it at all (i.e. go with Joan Alison or Joan Veronica). I definitely wouldn't do the hyphen or different spelling thing. Not sure how finalized you are with Joan, but Joan Inez is too close to Joan Baez for me.

I have been considering a double FN so I'd vote for Joan Inez no MN.

I'd stick with Inez, but I really like Agnes if you are open to changing it up.

Yeah, I'm cool with the Baez connection. I'm also pretty sure it would end up with a nn of some sort like Joanie. I'd probably end up doing it the family way, but I do like the idea of a middle. PP who said Agnes, that's an unattached name on our list that I totally love.
