Curtains

Where did everyone get their window coverings? I was going to order from PBK but the price with shipping is outrageous.

We got very basic ones from west elm, but I looked there, Amazon, land of nod, world market, and PBK. We decided not to get the blackout ones, but if we need them later on we'll pony up.

I got some really pretty eyelet lace curtains from albeebaby.com

they were pretty reasonable compared to what I found at PBK and restoration hardward. 2 panels for 50 total, and free shipping

Ikea, I just have ti sit down and take them up anytime before the LO is crawling :) We actually have the same ones in every bedroom, with blinds underneath so no need to black out.

I am buying fabric and making my own. I don't even sew, and it's super easy to make panels using iron on tape. Here's a good tutorial for how to do it: http://www.younghouselove.com/2010/02/nursery-progress-getting-the-hang-of-it/

be bought room darkening curtains for LO's room since it faces west. I wanted red ones to go with his Dr. Seuss theme. I ended up buying GREAT ones at Walmart for less than $30 total and I love them. They're soft and silky, they're sewn well (which impressed me), they darken the room very well, and the best part is that they don't LOOK cheap. I'm highly impressed with them. If DH and I ever want to buy different curtains for our room I'm definitely going to check out walmart's before I spend a bunch of money somewhere else.

I bought black out curtains from JCP online. They were on sale and I googled a coupon code too. Best deal I found and I looked a lot.
