Hysteroscopy Update:

Well I had it done super early this morning. The surgery center my RE group uses is over a hour away and I had to be there at 7am. Here in Houston we had some horrible rain storms this morning so it made the commute a little longer but no biggie. 

First rattle out of the box I asked my intake nurse if the nurse putting in my IV was good and she wouldn't answer me. After a small amount of coaxing she told me no and they have had dr's there request she not touch their patients. The IV is the worst part for me and if they don't get it on the first try they're chasing me out the door. I'm a medic as well as a veterinary orthopedic surgery tech and have been placing IV's for 10 years so I understand everyone needs to practice. But when it comes to me I'm not a pin cushion, someone to learn on and a big ol pansy. It doesn't help they always have to use my hands which hurts like hell. So I requested the anesthesiologist place it. Pissed off the nurse that was supposed to put it in pretty bad. She came back in, picked up my hand and said,"hmm I could have got that". Gave me a dirty go to hell look and walked out. The anesthesiologist was very nice about it and said she doesnt blame me, it is after all her job. Everyone else on the entire team is great and super nice. This grumpy one was just filling in for the regular nurse who's on vacation. She normally just handles the consents, and..... Now I know why.

Anyways the hysteroscopy went well, he didn't find anything. He also repeated my HSG since he was already in there, just to make sure everything was all good. It's bittersweet not finding anything. On one hand thank God I don't have a tumor but on the other, what's causing my issues. Maybe we can tweak my meds or something, or I might be looking into a surrogate after all. He said my cervix was slightly inflamed so he put me on antibiotics from my recent cryo treatment. So instead of having a WTF in 1 week it'll be 2 weeks. So I'm not real sure if ill end up being a polar bear for FET 1.3.

Overall things went well. I'm pretty sore as to be expected and at first it burned to urinate but that's gone now as we'll. I'll be taking up residence on the couch for a day or so just taking it easy. Congrats to all the BFP, I've seen some great beta numbers the past couple days and big ::hugs:: to all those who need them. Sorry this is a novel. I received a IPAD2 for Christmas and its way easier to write than on my iPhone, and I'm kinda bored. Good luck to all the bunnies and polar bears out there still in the game!!

I don't blame you for not letting her place the IV! Very smart of you to ask if she was any good at it. The worst part about my ER was the IV...it was disasterous. Mutlipes sticks, blood running on the floor and massive bruises that I couldn't hide (Unless I wanted to wear a sweater and mittens in summer!).

I'm glad the rest of the appt went well, but I know it's hard not having answers. ((hugs))

Rest up!! I'm hoping your FET can be scheduled now that you've made it this far!!

I dont blame you for requesting that!!! For my ER they attempted the IV 3 times too...I mean got that terrible thing in and then the line thing wouldn't open up. I eventually had the anesthesiologist set mine too. If there's a next time I'm skipping nurses and asking for that to happen the first time. Worst part of the ET. I took pictures of my bruised up hands.

You did the right thing to ask for the anestheologist.  That nurse will have to get over it.  I am so glad that they did not find anything.  Keeping you in my prayers!

Ultrasound 1/10 - Nothing completely empty uterus Beta 1/14 - 743; Beta 1/17 - 1704 ultrasound shows nothing. Officially a miscarriage. 1/21 Beta 3900 Dr. says it ectopic. Ultrasound shows a miracle heartbeat right in the uterus where it belongs! Dr. says I can be cautiously optomistic!!! Hang in there baby!

Glad you had someone else do the iv, I do not play with that either. I am so so glad nothing was found, but on the flip side, I understand your frusteration. I hope Mrs. cervix gets better. I want to squeeze you tight, so take care of yourself lovie!!!!!

Thanks ladies, I feel decent today. Still a little sore but DH, I, and some friends are going to venture out for dinner before the couch attaches to my butt permanently lol..
