Anyone have a Honda Element?

I didn't think of this until I started researching, but I guess our rear seats pose a bit of a problem when taking the car seat in and out.

Someone posted on a blog about the Combi Zeus, which rotates.

Any thoughts or other suggestions?

Are you thinking of using the Zeus from birth? What else have you looked at? If you're just sliding in with one, I'd just get in the back with lo and sit in the next seat to load if you're using a convertible. Once lo is bigger, you can also load them rf in through the back hatch, I do this with dd4 currently in our van, she's 3rd row rf and I can get in close kneeling.

I don't like the bloggers other choice of seat, but you're years off that.

I have an Element as the main family car and while I love the space, it's a challenge many days with the deeply positioned rear seats and suicide doors.  Access to the infant seat wasn't an issue though, as it was easy to get it in and out of the base assuming you had enough room next to you to swing out the doors fully.

I've read some people recommending the Combi Zeus with the Element.  Also Orbit car seat has a rotating base.  I have no experiences with either.

Now that we have a convertible seat, I usually climb into the back to get DD seated and buckled, while MH can do it all from the side.   That will be tricky once we have a convertible and an infant seat back there when #2 arrives.   Honestly, if I could, I'd consider getting a more practical family car for the infant years.

All of this. The infant seat is no issue-- you can get that in and out no problem from outside of the car, although it does start becoming more of a challenge as the baby gets heavier and heavier. I used to only keep 3 seats in my car but when I added the convertible seat, I HAD to put the fourth seat back in because I have to get in and sit in that seat in order to get the baby in. I have the Clek Foonf and it does fit really well in the Element since its so tall. The fact that the rear seats are adjustable make getting the rebound bar situated way easier, too.

I've never wanted a new car more since I put that convertible seat in there, though.
