If you kept it in the urine for 3 seconds and no dye or anything came across, you may have had a faulty one.
What makes you think you O'd today? There's no way to know without some more temps to see a shift, but if you're just now getting a near +OPK today, then you probably are getting close to O (many have a fade in/fade out pattern). I suggest keep checking OPKs twice a day, and obviously keep temping.
