Tinnitus anyone?

Is this pregnancy related? I've had a really loud heart beating sound off and on all day in my left ear and it's driving me nuts! It's mostly when I stand up from sitting or laying down. Now I'm trying to go to bed and my whole ear has a burning sensation. Worth calling the doctor, or just something that happens that'll eventually go away? TIA

Not sure if it's pregnancy related but I've had it when I wasn't pregnant.  My primary doctor checked my ears and said it would likely resolve itself because there wasn't an infection or anything.  It did go away on its own, but it was super annoying when it was there.  Good luck!

It can be really normal to have this during pregnancy with the increased blood volume, etc.

I'm not sure about a burning sensation though. It's always worth it to call your doctor if it's worrying you. It can't hurt.

I work for an audiologist and it is very normal to have tinnitus during pregnancy. I don't remember the exact reason why, but she has seen many pregnant women who come in with this complaint. Some even come in because of actual hearing loss which is also very common during pregnancy. I've been experiencing tinnitus during this pregnancy too. Playing some classical music has really helped me get it to go away or ignore it. Stress is also a big cause of it too.
