Mabel ?

I think the name Mabel is really cute for a girl but, I have been getting mixed responses from friends and family.

What are your thoughts?

Love everything about Mabel.  It was on my list, but DH vetoed (he doesn't like the nn Mae, which I think is adorable!)

I really like it.

I love the Mabel on Gravity Falls, so sweet and weird at the same time.

I really like this name. It's cute but an adult can also wear it. This name always reminds me of the television show Mad About You (which I realize now was last on in the 1990s).

In that show, the couple had a daughter named Mabel. They claimed it was an acronym for:

absolutely hate this name

i can not look at a cute little baby girl and call her mabel.. all i picture is a wrinkly old lady. even the sound of it it harsh.
