I love the nn Millie. Is Millicent THAT bad? Not that I'm pregnant just thinking of girl names.. They are harder for me :

It's nms. It's one of those old lady names that I just can't see on anyone but an old lady. Millicent, Mildred, Mathilda just aren't appealing at all.

I love Millie too, but not a fan of Millicent (makes me think of Sleeping Beauty as nother poster mentioned).  How about Camille?

I would stay away because of this association.  Normally associations don't bother me, but this does becasue at the prime age when kids are going to be tessed, they are watching Disney movies and will likely make this association.

I actually really love Millicent. I had a Robert Munsch book as a kid called Millicent and the Wind, and I've loved the name ever since. I think it's gorgeous, and I love the NN Mille.

Love it! Maybe because a really cool friend of the family is called Millicent.

I think the Sleeping Beauty association is a bit far-fetched.

Meh, I don't think Millicent is THAT bad.  I don't like it much, but it's not horrible.  I do think Millie is a cute NN.

I really like Millie. Millicent took some time for me to come around on but I like it a lot now. We will probably never use it but it's on our top 5 list.

ETA: Another option is Mildred/NN Millie, but I still prefer Millicent.

I like Camille or Amelia - nn Millie.

I also did the Millicent - Maleficent connection too (spelled very different, but sounds too similar for my liking).
