Name heard on TV...

Bug! That's right. I was watching House Hunters and the woman had a son named Bug, which was not a NN. To top it off, he was 12, really small for his age, and had hair to his mid back (not that any of that matters but I just felt like the poor kid had a lot working against him). Why would someone do this to their child?

Aww poor guy! Did you ever watch the Road Rules on MTV? There was a woman named Piggie, not a NN, because her mom thought she looked like a pig when she was born. She was British, so I always wondered if it was a cultural name, but still. So sad!

I saw that episode as well. Bug was a nick name of a kid on the Cosby show too :) cute if a pet name when your 5-7 but as a real first name? whats the other kids name Roach or Ant?

We were watching a TV show about those guys who build really cool fish tanks (can't remember what it's called now) and there was a 3 year old boy named Chillie. From what I saw it was his real name.

The kid who played Alfafa (sp?) in Little Rascals is named Bug. NMS at all.

 ETA: Okay, it's a nickname. His real name is Brandon. That's a relief!

I've seen that episode a few times. I couldn't remember if the mom mentioned whether it was a nn or not. I didn't think she did. But the boy was a handsome little guy and I think it worked for him.
