Labor signs

Hello Ladies

Since the nurse line at my OB's office was not so helpful Im looking for some advice from those of us who have already delivered or are STMs.  I have had it easy thus far...no increased discharge, no BH, nothing....and for that I am grateful.  I woke up this morning feeling very naseous but not like I have to vomit just my entire abdomon feels "off."  I dont have to vomit, dont have a fever, and when I ate breakfast it didnt make it better or worse.  My entire stomach is rock hard as well.  My boss mentioned to me that it could be an early sign of labor.  The nurses line at my OB office said it sounds like things are starting to happen but to call back once more does.   Did anyone else experience this before labor?  Im a FTM and everyone I know who has kids had to be induced or had a scheduled Csection so they are no help lol.  Thanks!

I am (as of friday at least) dialated to 4 cm and have had bh off and on for the last several weeks.  I have had bouts of nausea the last few days.  I have not had increased discharge, but I have had to wear panty liners for the past several weeks.  My pelvis also feels "heavier" (not sure how else to describe it).  I am hoping these are all signs of progress, but just waiting to see what happens. I am also a ftm.

Honestly, the last few weeks are one big mind f**k.  No other way to put it.  We're looking for signs.  If something IS a sign, it could mean labor is days or weeks away.  I feel really "off."  I've been nauseous.  I feel like I might break in half when I get out of bed in the AM.  Tons of BH.  Some cramping.  It could mean something... or nothing at all.  Hang in there.

Also... you said you hadn't had any BH but mentioned your stomach is rock hard.  That's BH.

Sad, but true. I think I spent 2 hours yesterday trying to figure out if I was sick or in labor. Ugh.

That could be a sign but could go on for weeks mine has.

The 4 things my doctors told me to watch for are: contractions less than 5 minutes apart, heavy bleeding, decrease in movement, and water breaking.

I never had any signs of labor before I went into labor. No BH, nothing. I decided to go to the Mall of America and walk. After walking quite a bit I started feeling some slight tightening, I lost my mucus plug, and then went into full blown labor.
