I just wanted to share what my pediatrician suggested for my little guy. It has made a WORLD of difference for us. He's like a different child!
She has us putting in one-two teaspoons of rice cereal in a 5oz bottle each feeding. The "weight" of the thickened feedings is helping him to spit up less. He's no longer getting the wet burning burps that made him scream in pain. I'm also finally able to lay him in his crib to sleep.
Added bonus---he's sleeping longer with the cereal in his bottle.
We've been through formula changes (3 times), Zantac and Zantac dosage changes, adding ProGaia probiotic drops, smaller more frequent feedings, and holding upright for 30 minutes after each bottle with no real success. This is the first thing that has given my little guy any relief. Just wanted to share our experience with all of you. Maybe it is something you want to talk to your pediatricians about.
