bloat or bump

I remember asking myself this all the time up to a few days ago. Now, I seriously know the difference between a hard stomach and bloat. It's like I just did 100 situps or something.

Just an announcement. If your tum feels slightly squishy it's bloat. HA!

Still is probably bloat.  You usually won't have a baby bump in the first tri since the baby is still below your pelvic bone.  I've had some hard bloat the past few days that I don't think is the baby yet, although it's not bloat I would have had pre-pregnancy so it IS baby related.  I started off really thin so the baby doesn't have anywhere else to really go but up on me, but still it's lower than it needs to be to create a real "baby bump".

 Pregnancy Ticker

I believe in a lot of things. I believe in fresh tennis balls, the healing power of bunnies, and that the novels of Susan Sontag are something I'll never read. In fact, I don't even know who Susan Sontag is. What is she... like... a painter? I believe in Crystal Lite because I believe in ME. I believe in the movies of Val Kilmer, though these days it ain't so easy. I believe in Darren Sproles, the word "dabble", the first season of "Silk Stockings", and big, warm, moist, gooey chocolate chip cookies that melt in your mouth and all over your face.

Im 13 weeks (or so) and I'm just starting to understand the differences. I keep wondering where is my baby?-because i really am not showing. Most of my weight gain if any went to other parts of my body. This is my first pregnancy so its all new to me, for some reason though, the bump will probably bring some relief of "You really ARE pregnant". :)

True.  My I-ate-too-much-at-dinner stomach went down a lot in the last week or so. I look almost normal sans the giant boobs. I def would not say that I am showing yet.

Trust me, you'll have a bump soon enough and all that goes with it. Then, you'll have days where you long to feel normal ;
