anyone doing ww?

Just wondering! I started last week but it was super hard w/ the holidays. I have 65 lbs to lose and I know it wont be easy.

Just wondering if anyone else is doing WW and how's it going?

If you are breastfeeding I would not attempt any kind of diet yet, even the WW for nursing mothers.

I've seen a lot of ladies post about how well ww works even when nursing. The key is to use all your daily, extra and activity points. Ive successfully used it myself after my first pregnancy and have started again now to help hold myself accountable, as I have zero willpower when I'm not tracking everything I eat.

Hi

I am not breastfeeding, but even if I were, I believe WW has a good system for nursing moms. My dr said it was fine to join after 6 weeks if I were bf'ing.

Anyway, Im starting to track today and drink lots of water.

I have to wait 2 more weeks to exercise.

I'm doing WW, but I did wait until after 6 weeks PP to start (can't tell from your ticker how far PP you are, but I would wait until 6 weeks). If you start before your BF supply is established it could hurt your supply.

My goal is to lose 1 lb a week - if you lose weight too quickly, this can also hurt your supply. So far I lost 1.2 lbs in my first week - can't complain. I think it's a great program.

Lurking from Jan and Feb 2013 boards...

I'm totally planning on joining as soon as my doctor okays it!  I've done ww in the past, to get ready for my wedding and it definitely worked and was worth it!  I HAVE to go and get weighed every week and track everything though... as soon as I stopped I gained it all back :(  Very bad willpower on my end!  I like how it sort of "teaches" you how to eat well...

I realize that ww says you can start then but I've never seen the okay to diet to lose weight by a credible breastfeeding resource. If there is one, please post it. You should eat well, lots of fresh stuff, fiber, proteins, tons of water. My midwives and lactation consultant wouldn't want an EBF mom dieting at 6 weeks pp. But, the op isn't nursing.
ETA: my goto source, kellymom.com, says not to diet until at least 2 moths, preferably longer. And to remember that nursing uses 350500 cals, so most women can't go under 1800/day.

I know. I wrote that in my post. I was speaking to the other posters.

I definitely think you should try it. Like I said previously I used it after DS1 and lost the 30 lbs I wanted to lose in 4 months or so. Like most things as long as you commit to doing it, it will work.
