opinions on names

We don't know the sex yet but we narrowed it down.

Boy names

Hunter
Gunner

Girl names

Ashlyn
GraceLynn

Opinions on them? And any suggestions for middle names?

Between your boy names, I prefer Hunter.

I like Grace Lynn, but I don't like the 2 names smushed together.

MN suggestions-

Hunter Thomas or Hunter James

Grace Lynn Eliza or Grace Lynn Elise

Definitely Hunter for a boy even though it's NMS.  I really dislike Gunner.

I'm not a fan of the -lyn names, but of the two, I would have to vote Ashlyn.  GraceLynn is a smoosh name and I would just use Grace as fn and Lynn as mn.

I like Hunter over Gunner, and I love Ashlyn.  Grace Lynn is pretty too, but I'd probably keep a space in there.

Your names are totally NMS. Your boy names, to me, are so overtly masculine they just seem like they're trying way too hard. All those names make me think of is violence. What about- Cole, Wyatt, Ethan, Adam, Remy, Sebastian, Davis, Brewer, Duncan, Dean, Nolan, Carter?

Ashlyn- seems very dated

GraceLynn- Why not just Grace Lynn (Lynn being the middle name?) it just sounds like Graceland to me. I think Grace is beautiful on it's own without needing a named hooked on the end. Just my two cents.

Hunter is the better of your boy names, though NMS. Really don't like Gunner or Ashlyn.

Agree with PPs that Grace with Lynn as a middle name is nice. GraceLynn as one word sounds like Graceland to me (and my DH, who I read it aloud to).

I like Ashley and Grace as names though.

I'm pretty much entirely in agreement with this. Sorry, I can't help with the boy names unless you'd like suggestions. GraceLynn is a terrible smoosh name - I agree with PPs, why not Grace Lynn (Lynn as a MN). Not a fan of Ashlyn.

I love the name Hunter and like both of your girl names. I think I'd do a double first name and then a middle name like Grace Lynn then middle name.

I'm in agreement with the others in regards to Grace Lynn.  My favourite of the girl names, but think it's better to have the space between the names. 

 

I've known one Gunner, although that was a nickname based on his last name.  But I do like the name and is my favourite between your two suggestions.

To be honest, I can't stand either boy's name at all. Of the girl's names I'd choose Ashlyn of the 2.

I see I am in the minority here but I love the name Gunner. I would use it myself if friends of ours didn't have a don Gunner. Their daughters name is Grace by the way so your naming style is right in line with theirs.
