Flu or body preparing to deliver???

So I'm 37.5 weeks pregnant and have been on the toilet all night with diarrhea coupled with heartburn/ nausea.  Not sure if I've caught a flu bug or if my body is clearing house for the main event. Anyone else experience something like this??

I had diarrhea a couple of days before I delivered DD and so this time around when I had a good bought of diarrhea atround 37 weeks I thought it was go time...but alas, here I am still waiting!  No one can give you an answer to your question.  If you go into labor you will have your answer.  Good luck!

This is the most frustrating part to me...I was sick, but not quite sick enough to think I had the flu a few days ago. Add contractions & back pain to the mix, and I thought we were getting ready for the big event. Yesterday, contractions stopped. Go figure!

About 2 weeks prior to delivering my daughter I was so sick for a week - I couldn't keep anything down and was vomiting all the time. I too thought I had the flu but my drs said it was my body preparing for delivery and a reaction to the hormonal preparation. LO stayed put though for 1 week past due date.

Just to clarify... the flu does not cause diarrhea or vomiting.
