Dizziness?

I'm a 16 weeks and have been feeling really dizzy, last night was one of the worst nights cause even when I laid down, I still felt like everything was spinning. I asked my dr and she said it was normal and should go away soon. Any suggestions on how to help make it more bearable? Thanks :

Stay well hydrated. Get up slowly.. i.e. when you wake up, sit up in bed for a few minutes before getting up. Stand up from sitting slowly, etc... You're body will eventually catch up with the changes and you shouldn't be so dizzy.

Did your doc check your blood pressure? I had this and she did and it was a bit low, not dangerous, but low enough to make my dizzy and sometimes black out.

You can run down to a local pharmacy if they have a machine and check yourself.

My doctor told me to make sure to eat frequently- small meals or snacks like every 2 hours. The idea is to eat BEFORE you get hungry- which often means forcing it down but it's better than the dizzy spells. Healthy snacks. A fat/protein/sugar combo is great to keep your bloods good. Like and apple and almonds. Of course a lot of water too, like the previous poster said, stay well hydrated.

Dizziness isn't all that uncommon during pregnancy.

Standing up quickly/changes of position make it worse or bring it on.

It also can be a sign of anemia.  When was your last blood draw?  It's not uncommon to start out fine but become anemic as your pregnancy progresses.

 Good luck!
