Venting....

Hey Ladies...

I am having a hard time today.... Feeling all emotional and overwhelmed...  I am new to the community, and I'm trying to find a board that i fit into... My DH and I have been trying since last march to have a baby, and no luck... I know it isnt quite a year, so i hate to bother the TTTC girls with my worries. But I also dont know that i fit over here either. Wondering if anyone else feels like this?

On another note.... I have a terrible case of the baby fever obviously! And I work at the health department here in town, and it seems like everyone is coming in here pregnant by accident and all upset about it, or coming in with their babies who are dirty and need warm clothes and their mothers need to get off of the dope. and ITS JUST NOT FAIR.

I know it is hard, but please remember that it can take up to a year for healthy couple to get pregnant.


TTTC is reserved for 12 months +, or if they know they have a condition that will cause trouble when TTC.

It can be hard and scary to approach that 1 year marker, but I've seen a number of women on this board get their BFPs naturally on cycles 10-12.

Have you been charting and/or using OPKs? If not I would recommend trying that for the next few cycle to make sure your timing is good.

Sorry your having a hard time emotionally.  Have you been charting your cycles?  It can really help figure out your body and what it's doing.  Charting and OPK's helped conceive DD.  At least it's a starting point...hope you get your BFP soon.

I am much newer to this whole process than you are, but it seems that lots of women on this board having been trying as long as / longer than you have.  I hope you find a sense of community here.  Lord knows I've learned a ton in several weeks of lurking and posting (and have had a lot of good laughs, too).

As for the other stuff, I agree with you completely, but not just since we've been TTC.  It is depressing to think of all of the children who are unwanted/abused or otherwise suffer.  But this is the case all over the world; life is not fair.  It sounds like you work toward helping these families in some way, perhaps?  So at least you can feel like you're doing something.

 Anyway, welcome and good luck.  I hope you get your BFP very soon and never have a chance to make it over to TTTC.

Thank you ladies so much for your kind words. I guess a lot of the posts i have read are from people who already have children and are working on number 2, or other things like that. Just didnt know where i needed to be. But i will continue to watch and learn from all of the ladies on this board. I have already learned a lot thus far.

I am just feeling really emotional. Working here can take its toll on you.... :( Day after day, seeing these poor babies. But you all are very much right, it happens all over the world....

I have been using OPK's and actually just ordered a BBT the other day to start using that to chart as well. I skipped three periods in a row am NOT KU . I have an apt January 8th at my GYN. They are going to do some testing then and possible refer me to a FS.

Lots of emotions running getting into this new year and approaching the one year mark. Thanks again for the welcomes and kind words!!

B/W: good. SA: good.
November 2012: Paratubal cyst found during U/S.
January 10, 2013: Lap removed paratubal cyst and Stage 2 Endometriosis.
January 2013: Unmedicated. P4 was 8.4. Meds recommended.
February 2013: Femara 2.5 mg and TI. P4 was 8.5. Meds will be doubled next cycle.
March 2013: Femara 5 mg and TI. P4 was over 11.
April 2013: Femara 5 mg and IUI#1. P4 was 11.4. Post wash over 40 million.
May 2013: Femara 5 mg and TI. Vacation during FW.
June 2013: Benched from meds due to thin lining.

I'm gonna guess you work in some sort of public assistance job or similar? If so, I believe there are a few other ladies on here who do as well who might be able to help you with how they deal with balancing TTGP + what they see daily.

From what I've seen, you can expect a mixture of support, encouragement, and tough love here.  All three of which we all need from time to time.

I firmly believe that being under the age of 18, and having sex in that back of a car, increases your chances of conceiving by like...180% Try not to play the "whats wrong with me" game. It's just not nice.

4/2013 - started metformin, Femara 7.5mg + IUI + progesterone = BFP on 5/7/13!!! EDD 1/16/14

I think a lot of us have experienced those feelings at some point, but the sentiment expressed sometimes on this board that I like is this: their fertility has no bearing on yours. There is no one less baby for you because someone else got pregnant. Or something like that. I think in your situation, it's hard to think like this, but it's worth to have as a mantra in your back pocket to get through a hard day.

There are quite a few of us who work is social services where we probably see women in positions different than ours having children. In situations like you describe, I know that me sitting here thinking "Life isn't fair!" will only make me more depressed and resentful. What good will that do? If I am in for a long TTC journey, I want to be as optimistic as possible.

That must be extremely frustrating to see what you do at work while having it taking longer than you'd hoped to get KU.

But like people have already said, just try your hardest to stay positive.  There are going to be days like today that are more difficult, but hopefully tomorrow is better!

Ha! So true! I work with at risk youth who had these wise words of wisdom for me, "miss, just get really drunk and pray it doesn't happen to you and it will"
