Hello Ladies! I know there are mixed feelings on the AngelCare Monitors and whether or not they work or just give piece of mind, but I wanted to share this story. I choose to use one of these monitors with my daughter because I had a friend who lost their baby to sids. I figured I would rather risk having a false alarm than no alarm and yes, it made me feel more secure. Four nights ago my daughter set her monitor off and she was not breathing. I was able to wake her and startle her to get her breathing and alert enough to know she was okay. I don't know, maybe she would have started back on her own or maybe not, but I am so thankful that I had the monitor. I would reccommend it. We have not had any problems with ours. You do have to set it up exactly as stated or it will give off a false alarm. Just wanted to share in case anyone is on the fence. I would say it can't hurt :) and when my daughter woke up crying at the top of her lungs the next morning, I was so thankful.
She is 3 months old.
I'm so thankful I just saw this! I posted on my birth month about wanting to get 1 & didn't know which 1 to get. I think this just made my mind up! Thanks :)
Glad it worked for you.. I think it's going to be nice to have that peace of mind!
