Anyone have the Britax Marathon 70-G3 in Onyx?

I am buying this carseat and want it in the onyx but was wondering if your LO gets hot in it?  My LO sweats bad in his infant carrier and we are upgrading due to that not his size.  I was trying to decide b/t marathon and pavilion but decided on marathon for price.  Later I noticed the material is diff on the pavilion (velour).  Need a seat that he will be comfy in and not get sweaty.  TIA for any and all suggestions/reviews

We have this one, and I like the material.  We live in MN though, and just started using it in September, so it hasn't been warm yet.  Honestly though, so many car seats are darker colors, I don't think it will matter one way or the other!

We have one and it doesn't seem to get warm, and LO doesn't seem to get warm from the velour- the velour is mostly around the sides, the main body is fabric.

In the summer, we always use sun shades, leave the windows cracked open, and we blast the AC when we first start the car, and DS has always been fine.

We really like this car seat BTW- he seems very secure in it, and looks a lot more comfortable in it than our Safety 1st car seat.

I am not concerned with the color just the fabric.  It seems as though the velour(like on the pavilion) would breathe more.  I am worried the fabric on the marathon is the same as the fabric on the britax infant carseat he has.  We live in Florida and it gets very hot and LO is hot natured.

DD had the Marathon 70 on Onyx for 2 years (had to replace it after an accident and upgraded to a Frontier) and I never felt like the seat got too hot due to the fabric. I feel like the velour would actually hold in the heat more.

This.  I too think the velour would be warmer than the fabric.

I agree with this. I also have the marathon but in waverly. I live in Cali so it's not super cold here but I'm always careful not to leave a jacket or sweater on in the car. Especially if ds has long sleeves on because they do get hot. We have extremely hot summers so we just blast the AC as soon as we get in and it cools off.

Diagnosed MFI- low sperm count DH given 25 mg Clomid daily to increase count DS-Born 7/27/11 So after 2 years of IF we have our little man TTC#2 Jan 2012- Benched due to cyst March- 50mg Clomid + IUI= BFN April- 50mg Clomid- Missed O May- 50mg Clomid + IUI=???
