First Ultra Sound today-Cyst found?

I had my first US today to see if we should do our first UIU this month.  They said the right overy looked great but there was a cyst on the left.  RE said usually they would wait another month after seeing this but she did some bloodwork anyway to see if there were hormones, she is calling me this afternoon with the results and to let me know if we will procede with the cycle.  When I had an US last month there were 2 cysts, one on the left and one on the right. Anyone else that has had this experience?  Did your RE procede?  She did tell me that she would switch me from Clomid to another drug as Clomid can cause cysts and she doesn't want it to be a bigger issue.

I'm just worried if we don't procede this month, next month there will be more cysts and then we are put behind 2 months.

For one of my IUI cycles I had a cyst and they had me do it unmedicated.  Clomid will cause cysts.

I had a cyst on both sides for my IVF cycle.  We proceeded and they measured it at every appointment to make sure it wasn't growing, it wasn't!

I will likely depend on how often they want to monitor you!

I had a cyst on my Rt ovary at baseline for IVF#2 (no prior history of cysts).  I was 14 mm and my e2 level was low enough that they let me proceed.  consequently, it was also the cycle I had the nest response so far so who knows, lol.  Good Luck!

Me:28 DH:28 TTC since 1/11 Dx: unexplained IF/early DOR
Feb'12- Clomid/TI with CD3 &21 labs(normal)& SA-count 6mil/ml,morph/motil OK-BFN
April'12 Ultrasounds,HSG -clear, slight acurate uterus
5/14 IUI #1-50 mg clomid-post wash total motile count 19.3 prometrium 2dpiui= BFN
6/11-IUI #2-100 mg clomid & prometrium post wash count total motile 17.5 = BFN
7/6 IUI#3 with 100 mg clomid, estridiol, prometrium. post wash total motile count 23.3 = BFN
8/30IVF#1 BCPs, Follistim, Menopur,Ganerelix,Novarel.
ER 9/11-8R, 7M, 5F.
ET 9/14 2 embies transferred. 1 10cell Grade 4, 1 8cell Grade 4. No frosties. BFN
IVF#2 BCPs, Follistim, Menopur, Ganerelix, Novarel, Baby Aspirin
ER 12/5-16R, 12M, 8F!
ET 12/10 5dt! 1 fully expanded blast & 1 early blast. No frosties. BFN
2/13- Saline sono revealed a polyp. All additional labwork coming back normal. Genetic screen revealed DH has MTHFR deficiency & I am a carrier for it.
3/13 hysteroscopy & polypectomy
3/27 Began working with Reproductive Immunologist Dr. Kwak-Kim. Found High NK cells, High DHEAs, slight hypothyroidism, tendency toward blood clots (High PAI-1)Began synthroid & metformin 4/19.

At my baseline this past cycle, I had 2 large cysts, one on each ovary. I am benched right now and on CP to hopefully shrink the cysts for next cycle.

*3 and a half years, 1 failed Clomid/TI cycle, 2 failed Femara/TI cycles, 2 failed IUIs.
*3/22 Surprise BFP! EDD 12/2/13!
Beta #1 @ 11dpo 27.5, beta #2 @ 14dpo 174.4!!!!!!!!

The bloodwork came back and my RE wants me to proceed!  I'm getting excited now...I start my meds tonight(I forget what they are called, not Clomid).  Hopefully the US next week will be ok and we can move forward!  Thanks everyone!

That happened to me. The cyst was small enough and my e2 low enough for me to proceed. I can't remember the cut offs though. That's when I switched from Clomid to Femara (which I wanted to do anyway). GL! In my Femara cycle with my cyst I still responded well. Hopefully you'll do the same!

TTC #1 for Dh, #2 for me. HSG clear. Low AMH and endo. Multiple Clomid w/TI cycles - all BFNs. 2 IUIs with Clomid and 1 with Femara - more BFNs. IVF#1 25R, 15M, 15F. 5DT of two perfect 4AA blasts! Positive HPT at 5dp5dt. Beta #1 6dp5dt - 72. Beta #2 8dp5dt - 285. Beta #3 10dp5dt - 793. Both babies have strong beautiful heartbeats! Baby B miscarried at 7 weeks. Baby A is holding on through miscarrying her twin, sub-chorionic hematoma, and complete placenta previa. Stick, baby, stick!
