It'll be okay. 12-16 months has been WAY more fun that 7-12 months was! And I really enjoyed the baby stage. But toddlerhood is awesome, even with tantrums.
I was really, really sad the night before my DS's birthday. Then I told myself to snap out of it. When they hit a year, all of a sudden their little personalities really form. They start to figure out all sorts of new things every day. They respond to you more, want to try more things and you can watch them starting to really reason and try to do new things. It's a really fun age :)
Babies are adorable and sweet and little. But they can't yell "Mama!" and reach out to hug you back and give you real kisses. Nothing beats that.
