New Pregnancy

Hello,

I took an HPT on 12/26/2012 and it came back positive. My period was due 12/24/2012 so (obviously) I was two days late. I have taken a total of 4 tests and all of them have came back positive. My first appointment isn't until 1/09/2013 and I'm starting to worry. The only symptoms I have are sore boobs (nothing major) and I get sleepy often. I am not sick or nauseous at all and I'm afraid something is wrong. Any advice for a first time mom?

I have no other symptoms besides those two as well and it's completely normal.  From what I've heard, every pregnancy is different but a lack of symptoms doesn't necessarily mean something is wrong.  Congrats on you BFP!

Congrats and calm down!!! Symptoms will come and go and reappear again! I didn't get nauseous till around 8 weeks. My first symptom was sore boobs and they are still sore occasionally. Enjoy yourself before everything you see and smell wants to make you barf!

Congrats Ashley! I got my positive 12/25! I also don't have many symptoms! You can go to you primary care doctor to confirm te pregnancy via bloodwork! That put my mind at ease!

Those are the same symptoms I had with my 2 pregnancies. Not everyone is sick.

I think it is normal to worry a bit... I found out really early at 3 wks 4days and so far I have only experienced fatigue. I am scheduld for my first doctors appt in three wks, and I will be about 10 wks along. I try not to stress too much about my lack of symptoms, I consider myself lucky....

This is completely what I have been experiencing!! I am 8 weeks and I have had only sore breasts and bloating and peeing all the time. I have harassed my doctor and have felt so uncertain. But as everyone has mentioned, there are those who don't get nauseous. Who would have thought we would feel better if we were though HA!

I know! It makes me feel silly because I expected to be really sick. Trust me, I would be happy with sore breasts and tiredness for the remainder of the pregnany. I'm looking forward to my first appointment to put my mind at ease. Also, I ordered a fetal doppler so I could try and listen to the heartbeat. I'm a nerd.

Hello,

I wanted to update everyone on my progress. At my first appointment they reviewed the basics with me and did some bloodwork. My second appointment was 01/21/2013 and I got to see my baby. He/She is measuring perfectly with a heartbeat of 160. I'm very excited and looking forward to a happy and healthy pregnancy. Now, I have to be patient enough before I find out the gender. I feel like it's a girl but everyone around me thinks it is a boy. We'll see Smile
