Not KU but thinking about this name...

Isla Louise

I know Isla is rising in popularity, but in my particular state, it's not even in the Top 100.  Louise is my grandmother's name, so DH and I would like to use that in the MN spot.  DH has also suggested Violet and Lucia as potential contenders for any future LOs.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

Lucia is one of my favorite girl names but since you want to honor family and use Louise, I would say Lucia won't work. I think both Isla and Violet are nice though.

Isla is gaining popularity big time but I still think it's cute! Violet is cute too as is Lucia. I'm not sure you can really go wrong with any of them IMO.

I prefer Violet or Lucia.

To me, Isla (although really pretty), is one of those names that was once totally obscure (at least in the US) and is now becoming popular.  That to me signifies that it's only going to become even more popular.  I also think names like this sound not so fresh and interesting after they peak (which I believe Isla has yet to do). I could be totally off base here, but I have a feeling if you do use a name like this you will tire of it quickly. 

Just my two cents.

I love Isla! I could never use it because I have an Ivy but even if it is growing in popularity as long as you love it that's all that matters. Violet Louise is also cute. Lucia always reminds me of Lucifer. Lol

  Sorry I mis-typed up above - Louise my grandmothers MN.  Her FN is Marilyn, which I also like but am not sure I love.  My other grandmother, who I was very close with, was Edna Dolores.  Not in love with either of those names, unfortunately.
