Treatment: Anastrozole to increase testosterone
05/2011: 50 mg Clomid + IUI cancelled because there were 4 mature follies
06/2011: 25 mg Clomid + IUI → BFP at 10 dpo
02/2012: Baby boy born!

Basically OP's friend is having a hard time getting pregnant. OP got pregnant first time, because she put her legs up after sex. This did not work for friend, neither did the mango trick, which we come to find out means sticking a mango up your vagina as if it was a tampon. Neither of these tricks worked for friend, what should OP do?

 I like mango...not sure I like it THAT much though.

I didn't catch the OP, but don't feel stupid. I am sure we have all gotten some crazy advice at one time or another. Just lurk a little bit, check out the newbie link, and get a copy of "Taking Charge of Your Fertility". You are your own best advocate when TTC. Educate yourself so you can tell the difference between facts and crazy. Good luck.
ETA...I should have waited for the recap. Please do not put strange objects in your vag or tell others to do so. Keep it to the items meant to go up there.

I'm partial to bananas and cucumbers, but obviously not for TTC. That would just be silly since those don't soften my cervix.

I am pretty sure she gave instructions to insert mango as if it were a tampon.

I think its because mangos have a specific enzyme.

Considering that mango is acidic, that seems like a stupid idea. Also it could cause a yeast infection.



TTC since October 2011.
DX with Non-IR PCOS in October 2012.
Missing RIGHT tube due to a prior surgery to remove cyst-zilla (40 lbs!) at age 12.
HSG showed tube was blocked - cleared by dye. DON'T DO CLOMID WITHOUT AN HSG!
Cycle #8 with 50mg Clomid & TI = BFN
Cycle #9 with 50mg Clomid & TI = No response.
Cycle #10 with Clomid 100mg + Ovidrel shot = BFN
Cycle #11 is a break cycle. Cycle #12 is a break cycle. (The break so nice, she did it twice!)

 Well... you know, with all of the fisting that I've done I bet I can shove an entire mango up there.   I've been at it over a year now.  The hotdogs just fly down my hallway.  If little bits of mango can get you pregnant, just imagine what an entire one can do!
