Questions for you IVF veterans:
1. Do you do your shots at the EXACT time each day? Our RE gives us a 6pm-10pm range, but last time we tried to pick one time and stick to it every night.
I always try to give my injections at the same time everyday, usually there is a 30 min window depending on where I am, and at times, there has been an hour.
2. When you go for your E2's (bloodwork/ultrasounds)- do you ask for your follicle measurements and how many you have on each side?
I have never had to ask, they always count out loud and say the measurements to the person writing them down, also, I've come to find out where the measurements are on the screen. If there came a moment where I didn't hear it, I would ask. I never got my E2 levels until later in the day after the blood work came back. I never really asked about it, but there were a few times I asked for the number.
3. After retrieval when is the earliest you expect to hear on the status on your embies? Last time my RE called me a full day after. That in between was a LONG wait.
I got a phone called the day after retrieval, then, they like to give the embies some undisturbed time so I don't hear back again until 3 days later. And then it's transfer day.
4. Do you guys cold turkey quit caffeine? I had my last half/calf coffee today. Withdrawl headaches are slowly subsiding. : )
I usually do quit cold turkey before a cycle starts.
