Recent csection mommas

I can't remember what the pain was like riding in a car right after my csection.  Were you really uncomfortable.  Would you ride in a car for 10hrs 1 or 2 weeks post pardom if it ment more support for your csection and care for your 19m old.

At two weeks, probably not. At one week, never.

I just had my 2nd c-section and this recovery has been so, so much easier than my first. I totally could ride in a car 10 hours at 2 weeks pp, probably not at 1 week though. Following my first c-section I wouldn't have even wanted to ride in a car that long at like 6 weeks pp. Not sure why one recovery was so much easier but I think it just varies a lot person to person as well.

I'm with the other ladies. I was not comfortable in the car the first few weeks!

I rode in a car for an hour and a half less than 48 hours after my c section with no issues. I took a 600mg Motrin before the trip and wasn't bothered at all. Now, getting out of the car after those two hours took some extra time and gingerly movements. Sitting didn't bother me at all. But everyone is different. If you decide to do it I recommend taking pain medicine before you go. I had access to Percocet but narcotics make me super nauseated, so I stuck with the Motrin.

Possibly 2 weeks but not 1.  But it really depends on your recovery. My first c-section, not a chance until at least a month.

I am 6 days out from my c/s. It kills me to ride in a car. every bump is felt in my belly. I haven't take a trip longer than 20 minutes at this point & I won't until at least the 2 week mark. I remember from my first c/s that was about when I could stand up and walk and be in a car without wanting to scream at least once in a while.

Two weeks, possibly. One week- no way. At 3 weeks I'm feeling almost 100% normal. Could you wait one additional week?

This. My 2nd csection recovery has been a breeze. We did just travel in the car 7 hours at 1 1/2 weeks PP for XMas and the trip was absolutely fine!

I am almost 2 weeks pp... No way could I do 10 hours!

At 9 days a 1.5 hour trip nearly killed me. A pillow over my ins scion helped, but only minimally.

Maybe I had a good c-section? But I would do it no prob. I was sore but riding in a car was fine. I had to start doing it for long periods of time everyday the day I got discharged because LO was still in the NICU for another 11 days. Walking was more of a thing for me.. not riding in a car.

2 weeks I would have been fine, 1 week no way! My recovery got MUCH better between 7-10 days, but prior to that, I was still in a fair amount of pain.

We drove 5 hours less than 2 weeks post c section. To be honest being the car never bothered me. We stopped every hour or so to stretch and feed baby but I never even thought about it not being an option. I wasn't  taking pain meds by then either though, but I gave really high pain tolerance.
