I'm posting our check in literally as I'm on my way out the door to my monitoring appt.

I overslept on Wednesday , was worried they'd cancel me, but they squeezed me in. My e2 was 738 and had an 11mm and a 12mm follicles with lots of little ones. Today I'm feeling sick to my stomach and crampy so I'm pretty sure there's a lot going on in there today!!!

 

QOTD:  Two winters ago we had a blizzard and there was about 2ft. snow. It was so quick that the snow blocked the doorways to the condo building I lived in and we all were stuck inside the first day. Finally one of my neighbors was able to push open a tiny space to squeeze through and shovel the doorway out!!! My poor husband was stuck at work for 3 days because the roads were so bad!!!

Goodmorning All :)

 Leaving soon for ANOTHER US and BW (#5 this week!)! Stimming is killing me...  I have approx 30 follicles - 16 of which are ready to go, but they're trying to 'push' the last ones there... Hoping they let me trigger tonight because I've been super uncomfortable.

We are FINALLY making some progress.  Hubby's surgery has been scheduled for next Friday (1/11) and immediately upon getting that phone call I got extremely nervous about this whole process!!!  I'm a nervous basketcase!!!  I guess it just got real.  I'm expecting AF within the next few days so then I can start BCPs.  So ready to get all of this going.  Fortunately, I've been pretty distracted so far with my busy season, the holidays, I have a huge wedding show this weekend, so then I'll have lots of consultations for the next couple weeks.  Hoping that keeps my mind off things until our IVF class on the 21st!!  Tongue Tied

QOTD: I remember one hurricane many years ago when we didn't have power for about 3 weeks.  My Mom and I went and stood in line in Raleigh to wait for a tractor trailer load of generators to come in so we could buy one.  After getting a little power in the house (thanks to the generator!) my best friend came and stayed with us for a couple weeks.  Being a kid, it was kinda fun!!

I finally started AF and my estrogen. I just received my schedule and I will be doing my ET on the 24th with beta Feb 2.

QOTD: I've been through a few hurricanes. Usually we just stock up on gas, candles and food and bunker down. 

TTC since 9/10 consult 1/12 All testing came back fine Diagnosed with Unexplained infertility All treatments OOP 3 medicated IUI's All BFN IVF - ER 11/14 24R, 15M, 13F ET 11/19, BETA 11/28 BFFN --Next step FET in Jan ET scheduled for 1/24. 2/16/13 - First BFP of my life!
3/27/13 - No heartbeat at 9w0d. D&C the following day.

4/23/13 - Matched to adopt five new embryos!

QOTD: Nothing too serious that I recall thank goodness!

 I had my baseline yesterday and ovaries look great. And AF had decided she is coming regardless of bcp or not but the nurse said it was no biggie and the bcp was doing its job of suppression so all was well. I take my last bcp tonight and start stims on the 8th! I am so excited and nervous at the same time! DH had another SA bc we didn't realize he hasn't done one since 2007!!! So hopefully we will get good news on that. He had a low testosterone count so he has been on hcg injections and leterzole twice a week to help that. So fx!

Dx: anovulatory due to prolactinoma (1.5cmx 1.5cm in 2006)
April 2012: MRI- questionable cyst 8mg by 12mm in pituitary
referred to RE by Ob-gyn after amenorrhea x 4+ months, provera ineffective, low estrogen level
cycle 1: May 2012, clomid 50mg; cycle cancelled, thin lining, no response
cycle 2: June 2012, femara 5mg; cycle cancelled, no response
cycle 3: July 2012, femara 7.5mg; cycle cancelled (largest folli on Cd12 & cd 16: 11, lining 4)

Aug. 8: met with RE, move to injectables if HSG and SA normal
Aug. 23: HSG all clear; DH- perfect
Switched to a new RE in early Sept. IVF here we come
Genetic testing reveals: Fragile X- Intermediate risk/grey zone.
IVF#1: ER 11/30: 14 retrieved, 10 mature, 7 fertilized. E2 prior to trigger 5200. Decision made to freeze 6 embryos and transfer later due to OHSS.
IVF#1.2/FET #1: estrogen injects start 1/18, FET delayed to try to thicken lining. lining 5.4mm. FET- 2/18- transferred one 3AA expanded blast. BFP 5dp5dt. Beta #1- 2/27 9dp5dt- 102.27 beta #2 3/1: 147 :(, beta #3 3/4: 268 stop meds. #4: 269, #5 133, #6 72, still in beta hell. Beta 7 (3/25) 29.

Married and TTC since November 2010 SA Normal, HSG Normal, B/W Normal = Unexplained IF
5 Failed IUI's Moving onto IVF, Stims Start 10/27, ER 11/5=27 eggs!, 23 mature, 1 Fertilized WTF?? Rescue ICSI on 12 and we had 3 more fertilize. Transfered 2 on 11/9. Beta on 11/23.

Hi Polar Bears! On my 5th day of Lupron and surprisingly haven't had the horrible headaches this time (just tiny ones) and will take my last BCP on Monday (Yay!!) I go in next Friday morning for my baseline and I'm SO nervous I won't be able to start stims but I have everything crossed I'll be able to! Then the next part I'll be worried about is my response, then the number retrieved, etc. - the worries never end with IF do they?

QOTD: My family used to live in tornado alley, so I spent many times in the basement, but we weren't trapped persay, and the blizzard kflynn is talking about "Snowmageddon" in Chicago was horrible but we weren't snowed in, it only took us about 4 hours to dig out because we don't have a snowblower. To be honest, I kind of want to be snowed in sometime, just for like a day - sounds romantic!

Hello Ladies,

Just went in for my baseline u/s and bloodwork.  If the bloodwork looks good, I'll start my clomid and menopur tonight.  The original plan was to freeze my eggs to add to my "bank".  But my nurse mentioned that my Dr. said we could go ahead and fertilize the eggs from this cycle, plus my two frozen ones and send them off for genetic testing (that's if they make it to day 5).  I am not sure what we'll do. I am currently researching everything I can find on genetic testing of embryos. Any input from the peanut gallery would be appreciated :)

QOTW - never been stuck in bad weather. I grew up in Southern California, so no snow days for me.  Now I live in NC where we have had very mild winters as long as I've been here. I know people think I am crazy - but I would love a good snow storm and some snow days :)

 

 

 
Me:38 - TTC for 3+years - Multiple failed IUIs (w/clomid, femara,injectibles - all BFNs) IVF #1 - Jan 2012, CP -IVF#2 March 2012, CP - Went back to IUIs all summer. Multi-Cycle Egg banking for FET. Egg retrieval #1 October, 2 frosties. Retrieval#2 January 2013. 6 eggs banked - waiting to be fertilized in March, FET March! FET - cancelled because zero eggs survived thaw process. April IUI, BFP - Beta #1 - 43, Beta #2 - 78, Beta #3 dropped, another CP. May IUI with Femara.

Good morning, Polar Bears! I am stuck sitting here in Lupron Limbo. After 7 days of it, my stupid ovaries refused to let it suppress them. I got a message from the nurse saying I had a surge and ovulated through the Lupron. After a freak out, I realized this was impossible, since I got AF a few days prior. MH and I spent lots of time on Dr. Google, and it looks like my body got stuck in the flare phase and never made it to suppression. Basically, it tricked my body into thinking it ovulated, and tons of progesterone was released. So, I am not shut down enough to start stims. 7 more days of Lupron for me. UGH!!! I am petrified to go back next week for b/w & u/s. 

 

QOTD: I grew up in Chicago and went to the University of Wisconsin, so I have way too many bad snow storm stories. I wouldn't even know where to begin!

I am on day 6 of Lupron. I have had the flu since Day 1 of Lupron, so not only am I starting to go Lupron crazy, but I had body aches and fever to add to it! I think I'm on the mend though.

I had my baseline yesterday and everything looks good - IVF #2 is officially a go! I start stims on Tuesday.

We were "trapped" the day after Christmas - we got 7 inches of snow really quickly and couldn't make the drive from my parents to the in-laws until the next day. 
Dx PCOS 2006 - on Metformin
Dx Hypothyroid 2009 - on Synthroid
TTC since 12/2009
DH - Low Sperm Count

I am starting to feel the side effects of stimming. I go for my next check tomorrow. I hope my numbers go up since some of you have had super high numbers. I add ganilrex tonight, I hope it doesn't add too much side effect wise. I have been lucky that most of this cycle of meds has been on my winter break but I go back to school on Monday.

I have had plenty of snow shut ins but never minded because I like playing in the snow. The only time it was a hardship was a few years ago when we were hit with winds from the after effects of a hurricane and the area was without power for two weeks. That really stunk. Thankfully it was in September so heat or air wasn't a factor but I lost several trees. It was a long road back to normal. 
TTC since 5/11 both uf us are >35 Clomid 4cycles pregnancy ended in MC 6/12 IUI #1,2, 3 and 4 ALL BFN. Moved on to IVF in Jan. 2013 Beta #1 288, Beta #2 529 Heartbeat on 2/8! no heart beat at 15 weeks, baby is dead.

Still waiting to start and trying not to go insane!! Tomorrow I'll be hitting the craft store to stock up on "keep me busy"  supplies!!

We live in Minnesota so there is always plenty of weather. Two years ago we had a 17" snow fall and my DH and I were supposed to go out that night. Being the hearty Minnesotans that we are we bundled up, got in the car, pulled out of the garage and got stuck in our street...we turned around and went back home and didn't leave home until the next day but only because we were out of food! Thankfully it was a weekend!

DH - all clear. Me - Unicornuate Uterus discovered at HSG 8/16/12. Referred for IVF 8/28/12. Approved for IVF Warranty Program 10/2/12. Laparoscopy 11/1/12 - removed right rudamentary horn, both tubes, left ovarian cyst and endometriosis. Given all clear for pregnancy after 1/1/2013.
IVF cycle 1 starts 1/19/13!
12 eggs, 7 mature and all 7 fertilized - 2 Frosties!!
5 day SET 2/4/13 - Beta 2/13: 86 & 2/15: 186 BFP!!!!

Hi ladies! Had our first follow up today. Ultrasound showed 29 follies 10 to 15 being measurable. They are ranging from 17 to 14mm! I only had 8 measurable follicles last time so I am thrilled with this. My E2 is measuring 1452. I am going in tomorrow for another monitoring appointment, but my nurse says it looks like ER will be Tuesday!


I got caught in the Halloween snow storm we had in New England 2 years ago. There were a lot of trees down and we couldn't get out of our driveway. It was pretty bad!

IVF #1 Started BCP 9/2 Lupron 10/11 stims 10/27 ER 11/6!! 5 eggs retreived only 1 mature. FERT report shows none made it.Cancelled cycle.
IVF #2 BCP 11/18 Lupron 12/14
Stims start 12/29 ER 1/8 ET 1/11 put in 1 grade B and 1 grade C. Beta: 1/20=BFN
Second opinion at new clinic TBD
decided to stick with old clinic with new plan.
5/3 started metformin for IVF # 3 set to start in July!!!

 Leaving soon for ANOTHER US and BW (#5 this week!)! Stimming is killing me...  I have approx 30 follicles - 16 of which are ready to go, but they're trying to 'push' the last ones there... Hoping they let me trigger tonight because I've been super uncomfortable.

We are FINALLY making some progress.  Hubby's surgery has been scheduled for next Friday (1/11) and immediately upon getting that phone call I got extremely nervous about this whole process!!!  I'm a nervous basketcase!!!  I guess it just got real.  I'm expecting AF within the next few days so then I can start BCPs.  So ready to get all of this going.  Fortunately, I've been pretty distracted so far with my busy season, the holidays, I have a huge wedding show this weekend, so then I'll have lots of consultations for the next couple weeks.  Hoping that keeps my mind off things until our IVF class on the 21st!!  Tongue Tied

QOTD: I remember one hurricane many years ago when we didn't have power for about 3 weeks.  My Mom and I went and stood in line in Raleigh to wait for a tractor trailer load of generators to come in so we could buy one.  After getting a little power in the house (thanks to the generator!) my best friend came and stayed with us for a couple weeks.  Being a kid, it was kinda fun!!

I finally started AF and my estrogen. I just received my schedule and I will be doing my ET on the 24th with beta Feb 2.

QOTD: I've been through a few hurricanes. Usually we just stock up on gas, candles and food and bunker down.

ER was Wednesday.  We had 14 retrieved, 10 mature, and 9 fertilized. I get another Fert report tomorrow (day 3). If all goes well ET will be Monday.

qotd: a couple of years ago it snowed here in south Texas. Because that never happens everyone was extremely unprepared. Work was canceled so I stayed home, and wouldn't ya know it, the heater died in our new home.  It was absolutely freezing and no one could come out to fix it for 3 days! We let our dogs sleep in the bed with us because we were afraid they would become "pup-sicles".

QOTD: Nothing too serious that I recall thank goodness!

 I had my baseline yesterday and ovaries look great. And AF had decided she is coming regardless of bcp or not but the nurse said it was no biggie and the bcp was doing its job of suppression so all was well. I take my last bcp tonight and start stims on the 8th! I am so excited and nervous at the same time! DH had another SA bc we didn't realize he hasn't done one since 2007!!! So hopefully we will get good news on that. He had a low testosterone count so he has been on hcg injections and leterzole twice a week to help that. So fx!

Yay for a great baseline!!! GL to YH on his SA....sometimes I feel like I'm talking in code with all these acronyms, haha!

Good morning Polar Bears!!!! Yesterday was ER, and I just got my fert report. They retrieved 33, 24 were mature and 18 fertilized with ICSI. I am seriously over the moon with these numbers. Now we just wait and see how they grow each day, transfer will be sometime between Sunday or Tuesday. QOTD: Never really had any issues with bad weather. Even the times we have had a lot of snow we just get outside to shovel ourselves out. I actually love the way my neighborhood comes together in times like this to help each other.

Holy moly that is fantastic!!!! FX for continued growth !!

Hi Polar Bears! On my 5th day of Lupron and surprisingly haven't had the horrible headaches this time (just tiny ones) and will take my last BCP on Monday (Yay!!) I go in next Friday morning for my baseline and I'm SO nervous I won't be able to start stims but I have everything crossed I'll be able to! Then the next part I'll be worried about is my response, then the number retrieved, etc. - the worries never end with IF do they?

QOTD: My family used to live in tornado alley, so I spent many times in the basement, but we weren't trapped persay, and the blizzard kflynn is talking about "Snowmageddon" in Chicago was horrible but we weren't snowed in, it only took us about 4 hours to dig out because we don't have a snowblower. To be honest, I kind of want to be snowed in sometime, just for like a day - sounds romantic! 

Glad you're not having bad headaches...its so tough to function otherwise!!ugh!!

My hometown had the 3rd (I think) largest tornado in Illinois back in the 60s that my parents both were part of. I've never been in a tornado (knock on wood) but when we bought this house I literally said, "I love the fact that it has a completely underground basement so tornado season I have a place to hide" LOL  gotta love Illinois!
