Rosalie...

I am completely in love with Rosalie-- feminine, so pretty, and has that vintage factor. My concern is that it's the name of a Twilight character apparently, and since gained attention- went down about 300 spots in the popularity rankings. It is still somewhat uncommon, just not sure if this bugs me...

I don't know anything about the Twilight reference but the name Rosalie really makes me think of some old fat church lady. I don't find it pretty at all. I would say if it is becoming popular and you aren't for that, then probably not go with it. But if you really like it and don't care, run with it.

I think Twilight aside Rosalie has gained in popularity along with other older names.  I think it's a beautiful name but I wouldn't use it anymore personally, although it used to be high on my list due to a grandmother.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Your child will have a long life and the association with a Twilight character will fade. It's not a unique name like Renesmee, so the association is not hugely strong.

But don't trust me, as I don't know those books and have not seen the movies.

I love the name Rosalie.  The Twilight movies are all done now and that connection will fade.  I'd use it.  And no one will see your beautiful baby and think of a frumpy old church lady!  I don't agree with that post at all!

I love Rosalie. I don't associate it with Twilight as much as Bella, Edward and Jacob. Plus now that the movies are done with it won't matter as much.

I think it's a great name. This is a secondary character in the series so don't let that bother you! I think it's pretty, classic and not at all trendy sounding. You could call her Rose or Rosie or Rosa.

If you love the name use it otherwise I think you will always be wishing you had. I personally really like the name and wouldn't have thought about twilight if you hadn't mentioned it.

I really like the name. I would still use it. I loved Bella and after twilight I would not use it but I think Rosalie is good.

I made the Twilight connection but like PPs have said, the movies are done and that connection will fade. I think Rosalie is a gorgeous name, and Twilight wouldn't deter me from using it!

I love the name Rosalie - love that you can use Rose for short. I've actually had it on my baby name list since Kate Bosworth played a character named Rosalie in "Win A Date with Tad Hamilton" (great chic flick, btw!) which came out WAY before twilight. I would totally use it!

I personally think Rosalie is a pretty name, and I don't think Twilight at all! There's good NN's for it too, which is awesome.

I say go for it if you love it.
