OH MY EFFING HECK. You know, I always thought I would have some beautiful emotional reaction when I saw my BFP... something quotable to tell my future child. Decided to POAS and all that came out of my mouth was "are you f*ing kidding me??" . I have walked between the couch and the bathroom about a thousand times just to make sure i'm not seeing things.
I'll try to do this without rambling! Decided to test when I got up this afternoon (work night shift), since I realized when posting in the 2WW thread that I was possibly 12DPO. And there she was! Not even a squinter! I still can't believe this is real.
Timing: O-1 (based on OPKs)
Cycle/month/DPO: 6/6/12
What we did: I drank green tea like a mad woman this month, 1-2 cups a day. I was taking a break from charting and temping because I had had a rough time last month with the BFN, and DH decided he just wanted to go to EOD sex for a couple weeks this month. No hips in the air or anything, got out of bed right after we finished to shower.
Symptoms: None really. What made me think "heck, why not test" was because I hadn't had my normal 10-12 DPO spotting, and also I noticed I had a little old-lady pooch in my lower abd yesterday (bloat), and thought "how the hellllll did I gain enough weight to get that". I've been tired the last few days, but chalked that up to a funky work schedule.
How I told DH: Haven't yet. I won't see him before I leave for work tonight, so I will tell him tomorrow. I have a little onesie that I had special made of his favorite team, so I will give him that.
EDD: September 16th
The mushy stuff: I'm a nurse, but I knew NOTHING about my body before I came here. You all taught me so much, and I know I would not be pg without all the tips and advice. From the knowledge I've gained, I've been able to help a friend and a coworker, and for that, we all thank you! I really hope to see you all on first tri very soon!
