Pregnancy totally changes your taste buds. This time around, everything tastes super salty.
JET29:I was eating ice cream the other night and it tasted like green olives. I was convinced something was wrong with the ice cream but my H said it tasted fine to him.
TurtleMomma:The craziest thing keeps happening to me: I take a bite of something and its the most wonderful thing I've ever eaten, then 2 bites later I get a huge F U from my taste buds. Its amusing and annoying at the same time.
I made turkey meatloaf the other night. The first small slice was heaven. The second, I could barely choke down two bites.
I make my DH taste everything too just to make sure the food is fine. I swear every day I'm asking him "does this taste funny to you?" and it's always just me!
KatyKatMeowz:I tries eating fried chicken last night. I usually love fried chicken, and I don't get it often. It tastes awful right now. I was upset.
I hear you. I *want* fried food right now, but oh man, stomach says NO!
