Rosalind

How is this pronounced? Is it Roz-a-lind or Rose-a-lind? Is the "D" on the end silent or do you pronounce it?

Thanks in advance for the clarification!

I grew up with a little girl who had this name and I loved it. I always thought she sounded like a princess with a name like that :). She pronounced it the second way.

I've heard ROZ-uh-lind with a very faint d sound actually, so it almost doesn't sound like it, emphasis on the Roz part.  Lovely name!

So, would it annoy you to have a name that teacher's or new acquaintances may not know how to pronounce your name? Or always having to correct people?

I grew up with the name Carly.. so I never had the issue and I'm not sure if it would be an annoyance.

I love this name. I really do. But I don't know if it's going to annoy my child to always correct people?

What do you all think?

This. I knew one who went by Roz and Lindy as nn.
