Mismatched lengths on sibset names?

Our first DD has a short and sweet name, Isla Rose. She goes by both names most of the time depending in the situation. We considered Isla Rose Elisabeth at the time for length be ause it did seem too short, but didn't like the double middle name hassle.

Now, our two front runners if this LO is a girl are Josephine Amelia and Josephine Della. These are both Flowy, romantic and LONG. Is it weird to have one sibling with a short succinct name and one with a long elaborate name? All the names mentioned are family names except Della, and are a similar style, so they do have that in common. If we use Amelia, this one will likely go by the shortened Josie Mae, Jovie Mae or Posie Mae, which will be more similar to Isla Rose that DD goes by. Thoughts on the length discrepancy? Is it odd?

I don't think it's an issue.  DS is named Benjamin and our top boys names are Luke and Evan.  The style is more important than the length of names I feel.

I think Josephine Amelia is a bit long.  What about Josephine Mae like you suggested?  I think that matches Isla Rose better.

I don't think the lengths matter much.  DD is Rebekah and if we have another girl she will be Eden.  Are you set on saying the middle name as a part of her name on a regular basis?

I agree and since you plan to use a nn for Josephine they actually will both have close to the same length anyhow. I really like Josephine Della.

I don't think it is odd at all, and I like it when names sound different as long as they are of the same "style."

When this LO is born, we will have a Noah, Caleb and Benjamin.
