3rd pregnancy and freaking out!!

Hi, this is my third pregnancy and I know I should be ok with everything, but i'm not. I'm not sure if it's just me or what. With this pregnancy I found out way early I was pregnant. I'm 16 weeks and haven't gained any weight. When I went to the doctor at 13 weeks, the dr. couldn't almost find the heartbeat and when she did it was very faint, but she said it was a good heartbeat. Ever since I found out I was pregnant i've always had a bad feeling something is going to be wrong. I was never like this with my other 2 pregnancies. I don't know what's going on, but it's got me constantly stressed out which probably isn't good.

This is #3 for me as well. I keep having horrible nightmares about bad things happening to me and the baby. I just my big ultrasound yesterday and everything looks great, even though Ive had constant cramping for a week now. The dr seems to think its just everything stretching and growing and maybe pulling on the scar tissue from having 2 previous c/s and my gall bladder removed a few years ago. I just keep trying to take it easy and rest and drink plenty of water. Good Luck

I feel the same way. This is my second pregnancy and I have more anxiety than ever with my DD. The only thing I can think of is that with each pregnancy we learn more and therefore are worried about more things going wrong. When I was preggo with DD, I was oblivious to most issues and over the past 6 years it seems that I have heard of so many more problems. I try to enjoy each day, each appointment when we hear the heartbeat and remember that I am doing everything in my power to get this LO here safely. Best of luck to you!:)

I go to the again on the 11th. so hopefully the dr will be able to get a better heartbeat then. I'll also schedule my ultrasound that day. Hopefully i wont have to wait too long to go. I've had the cramping and everyting as well. dr told me it's just everything stretching to make room. never had that before so that made me freak out even more.

One day at a time, mama.  :)  That's still the best advice no matter what.  You have a heartbeat, YAY!  And do you know how many people would trade to be in your shoes in regards to the weight issue?!  It never comes on or off when they say it will, the standard info is just a generalization.

I know it's difficult to control the anxiety when we're a bag of hormones, but just take a deep breath, and focus on your little ones. :)

Good luck!

Once you get a little farther you might want to try out the Babyscope phone app that let's you use your phone to find baby's heartbeat. I love it!

I'm around 16 weeks too and I've only gained a pound. My doc says it's fine. People gain at different rates. Try not to worry about that! And you have a heartbeat, so that's GREAT. The fact that it was faint on the doppler doesn't mean anything except that the baby might have been hiding behind something or farther back in your uterus. I understand the bad feeling -- I really do. I called my parents to tell them that I was sure I was miscarrying once this pregnancy (after having a previous miscarriage). I was SO SURE -- bleeding and that BAD FEELING. Guess what? I wasn't... :) Just heard the hb again on the doppler yesterday after a fantastic ultrasound on Wednesday. Don't give up hope!

Hang in there little one! More info in bio Lilypie Pregnancy tickers

I was talking to my husband about how I am so much more anxiety ridden this time, and it is a harder pregnancy (#4) for that reason. He very kindly disagreed. He said in every pregnancy I get these anxieties, and that I always wonder if I have a premonition something bad will happen, and it hasn't. I think my brain erased all the unpleasantries of pregnacy including forboding feelings. So apparently I get worried with all, my other three are healthy as can be, let hope this one will be as well! I have never in any pregnancy gained anything before 20 weeks, just how it goes for me, so I wouldn't be worried.
