When i went into my doctor talking about how my whole body is incredibly itchy, she said if you have cholestasis, you are very itchy on my palms and feet as well as other spots on your body. She sent me directly to the lab for blood work because this is a very dangerous condition for you and the baby. She even said if i tested positive, she would have to induce me at week 38. I would persist with your doctor, or see another doctor for a 2nd opinion. However, since you are having a C-Section this friday, i'm sure they would not do anything to help you. The only way to cure this is to give birth to the baby.
It could be, cut cholestasis is rare...sounds like it could be PUPPPS as well. I had it with my son and it was awful - lots of itching, especially on my palms and feet too.
My SIL had cholestasis and, yes, she had to go through bloodwork (which takes 2 weeks to come back?) and she was induced at 37 weeks
