2nd and 3rd time mommas

What are you getting/buying this time.  I feel like I shouldn't need anything, but I also feel this overwhelming need to be "shopping" or collecting stuff.  I am 32 weeks and we really haven't done anything but paint the nursery - so perhaps it's my nesting setting in and anxiety.  I also know this is our last baby - so I am hesitant to buy too much knowing how quickly they go through stuff...

Yes! I feel like I should be buying things! In reality, we don't need anything for this one at all. I bought a lot of size 1 diapers because they were on sale and a new big sponge thing for the baby bath. I feel kind of guilty almost that baby #2 gets all hand me downs from birth-on though.

We haven't bought very much either, especially since gender is the same for 2. Really just the consumables...diapers, wipes, BFing supplies, etc.

I have three things I want this time around but probably don't really need. A bassinet for our room (instead if the pack n play we used last time), a double stroller, and a new carrier (I'm going with the baby k'tan). Otherwise I'll get the necessities like diapers, wipes, etc and probably some new pacifiers, bottles, and tethers since they took a beating last time.

We are going to buy a crib, crib mattress, and a dresser. We also need little things like crib sheets, clothes, baby blankets, etc... Thankfully, all of the big things we bought for DD were gender neutral, so we are good to go in that aspect.

I also wanna splurge on a baby wrap, a double stroller, and a new breast pump.

I feel the same way. We're having a another girl and we really don't need anything. I did buy a new sleeper that I may use as a coming home outfit. I also hit up a sale at Once Upon a Child the other day and got a deal--$9 for 9 outfits (GAP, Zutano, Janie and Jack, Hanna Anderson, Carters etc.) It was fun to buy a few things and I didn't feel guilty about buying more clothes b/c they were super cheap.

I just got a new diaper bag with a gift card from Christmas. I've been wanting one that looks less like a diaper bag and more like a handbag. I also bought a second hand double jogging stroller.

The other things I will most likely buy are Aden and Anais swaddle blankets, an Ergo infant insert, new bottle nipples and binkies and a pkg. of size 1 diapers (I have one pkg. of nb). Oh, and nursing supplies like new pump parts.

We are getting a rock n play.  I borrowed my sister's with DS but he didn't really like it and ended up in his crib very quickly.  It was directly across the hall from us so NBD.  We are going to be in a different house this time so I would like to keep him in our room, especially first.  I think we also might be getting a nicer playpen.  We have a very basic version and I would like a nice one to keep upstairs where I will spend a lot of time with DS1 (the playroom is upstairs).  Also, we will probably need 2 for when we go out of town because DS1 still uses his on trips!

Other than that, just BFing supplies.  DS1 was formula fed so I literally had nothing. 

ETA: a double stroller and a new monitor.  Now that I think about it I feel like my list keeps growing!

We're getting a double video monitor since we only had an audio one for DD1 and still use it.  Double stroller, small cloth diapers (we started DD @ 6m and sold her smaller inserts), other CD accessories, humidifier for her room, RnP, new crib mattress since DD1 is still using her in a toddler bed.

Other small things like washcloths (DD1's are gross), extra pump parts, new kid hangers for DD so we'll move the baby hangers to DD2's room, bath sling, Nosefrida (I always wanted one!), new mirrors for our cars since both DDs will be RFing, new bottle brushes.

I feel like it's a bunch of random stuff that's not totally necessary, but that I'd like to have.

I'm getting a few luxuries that I didn't have for DS like a wipe warmer, AA swaddling blankets and a bottle warmer. Since this one is a girl, most of her wardrobe is new, too. I'm going to pick up a double stroller soon. I still need to buy new nipples for the bottles and get a larger stash of diapers.

I'm a disadvantaged 2nd time mom, as my DD#1 is turning 6 a few days prior to my due date.  I was storing most of my baby gear at my parents' place, but when they decided to move, my mother sold EVERYTHING.  I didn't even get the proceeds from the sales either! For this baby we're starting over from scratch.  I had nothing.

I had 2 boys before and I'm a giver so all my stuff was given/donated away or very used since I bought everything used to begin with and then used it for 2 kids so I've been buying a good bit. Luckily I know exactly what I need and how many so thats helped. I still have my PNP,bath tub, breast pump, and bassinet...

I've bought crib bedding (for a girl);A&A burp cloths and swaddles;a swing;all new clothes,bottles, blankets,bouncer and bumbo

I still need a double stroller (city mini);furniture (my 2 yr old isn't giving the crib up) and a carseat (I've always borrowed one from a friend so need one) these last three things are stressing me :(

I bought/will be buying:

infant carseat (ours expired)
double stroller
cloth diapers and accessories
baby blanket (chosen by DD1 and DD2)
coming home outfit
this toy that I wanted with the girls and never bought
some new storage bins
wall letters of her name

I think that's it, unless we need some cooler weather clothes for the first month or two. I'm forcing myself not to buy anything until I figure out exactly what we already have.

ETA: Also a ring sling, soothies gel breast pads, nursing pads, pacifiers, new pump parts...

I have bought diapers, wipes, wash cloths and baby wash, bottle inserts, new bottle nipples, a few pacis and teethers, a new infant car seat since ours was in a wreck and we replaced it with a convertible seat at the time, another crib but second hand because I refuse to have DS lose his wonderful sleep habits by making him transition too early, and some clothes up to 12m because we moved right before DD turned one and I gave away practically all her clothes. Even still, most things I am buying I'm getting from consignment on sale days and not spending more than a dollar or two. Oh, and I also bought a snap n go for days when it's just me and baby, or I know the other two wont be riding in the double, but probably wouldn't have gotten it if it wasn't on sale combined with a coupon and BRU gift card I received because I only spent 10 on it, haha. I'm so cheap this time around knowing things won't be used again.

I felt the same way, especially since we're having a second daughter. But there are some things I want to get before she arrives:  A boba carrier, a new diaper bag that can be worn as a backpack, a second monitor, and probably some new bottle nipples and long-sleeved outfits. Our first daughter was born in June and this one will be February, so she won't be living in just onesies :)

We're having another boy so we REALLY don't need a lot of stuff, but our little guy is only 2 and still in his crib, so this is what we've accumulated so far:

-another crib and mattress 

-dresser that will double as a changing table

-diapers and wipes

-another changing pad with covers

-bedding (3 pairs of sheets, bumper and ruffle)

-clothes (DS was born in December and this baby will be March, so slightly different seasons) - not too many clothes

-a lingerie bag for baby socks

-an extra bouncer (to keep at the IL's house or my moms)

-another diaper champ

-a rock n play

-lots of books

Yes I have that urge too and it's hard to fight it! We did need to replace some stuff:

bottles/nipples/pacifiers (did you know apparently you're supposed to throw out paci's after 3-4 weeks of use?!)

bottle brushes

swing (ours broke)

newborn cloth diapers

dresser to store all of her clothes

And while they're not "needs" I wanted to get a few things that were just for this baby so she wouldn't only be using hand-me-downs. So we got her some new clothes and a couple of blankets. Almost everything DD1 has is pink, and my friend decided that DD2's color should be purple. So we bought a bunch of stuff in purple (changing pad cover, the blankets, purple outfits).

We went to Target today and my DH kept saying, "ya know this baby isn't coming tomorrow, right?".  Silly DH - be quiet and push the cart!  I picked up diapers, wipes, diaper rash creme, a rock and play (scored it on sale!) organizers, and other things general things you need.  I also ordered a few things on Target's website.  I feel a little better now that we have more the of "stuff" we need

I havent purchased anything yet and it is because my baby shower is this weekend. After the baby shower if I still need items, then most likely I will start buying stuff.

well this is my 3rd boy so most of the stuff we had left is still perfectly fine...we had to get another crib (its a hand me down from my SIL tho) and all the essentials like diapers, wipes, etc  now i just have to get a new baby tub (ours got cracked in storage) some receiving blankets and a few extra crib sheets- we did buy a second hand double stroller from the flea market (its an eddie bauer -super nice- and we got it for a steal at $40.00) and as far as i can think right now the only other thing we need is a diaper bag :)
