 Our 2 week wait is over. Our 1st IVF cycle ended in a C/P yesterday. We have our WTF on Monday.

Hi ladies!

IVF #1 ended in a chemical pregnancy at 5W3D on 12/30/12.  Our WTF isn't until the 21st so more waiting and in limbo.  Hopefully we'll be able to make a plan for FET #1 with our 2 frosties.

QOTW:  We really don't have any vacations planned.  We might go to Michigan for a long weekend over the summer just to get away for a little bit.

Hi all! We're currently in IVF 1.2 right now, still on Lupron and should start stims next Friday. I'm so excited to finally be cycling again since we've been trying to do IVF since October and were cancelled once due to a cyst.

QOTW: we actually have a busy year with vacations. In April we're headed to the British Virgin Islands back to the place we honeymooned for our anniversary. In May we have my best friends wedding in Colorado. Then in June we have cousin's wedding in MN and then I'm in another good friends wedding out in Jackson Hole in July. So we're really busy and if I end up getting pregnant it might mess with plans a bit but I can't live my life always thinking about the what ifs ya know?

GL to all the other MFI ladies and hugs to those who need them.

Update: IUI was a bust. We found out a few good points for when we do IVF though, so it's not a complete loss. We had to reschedule our uro appointment due to work, so we have to wait a whole extra week (It's now on the 21st instead of the 14th). Planning on our first IVF cycle for March/April now (See QOTW). My mom will be visiting at that time as well, so I'm hoping to pass the 2WW with lots of things to do!

QOTW: Friends of ours are getting married on a cruise at the beginning of February. Leaves from NYC and goes to Florida and the Bahamas! We've never been on a cruise before, so we're pretty excited! (Bonus: I won a travel voucher which paid for the majority of the tickets!)

No major update for me. Im in the 2ww of my break cycle. I began temping again this month so we can give ourselves a decent shot but I'm beginning to think that was a bad idea. Should have really taken a break from everything instead of obsessing over every little thing.
No vacays planned for us. Maybe something for my birthday in may. Still trying to figure it out.

Hi ladies. We just got back yesterday from China and I'm trying to fight the headache from the jetlag. AF came on January 1st (this month it's gonna be really easy to keep track of cycle days...). I already have a monitoring appointment on wednesday and hopefully nothing will keep us from doing the transfer. I'm keeping my FX...

little vent: can you believe that I arrive home to find a Xmas postcard in the mailbox from a friend couple with a picture of them and their twins with pillows under their shirts pretending to be pregnant?!?! Yeah, she's pregnant (I knew it already) and they know about our struggle. Can you believe this?!?!

QOTW: We're probably going to Italy for two weeks in summer but we're not really sure yet. I've just never been there and would love to see it.

Hi everyone,

 

I am in my last waiting cycle before IVF1.2....

After IVF 1 was cancelled we were devastated and could not imagine dealing with them holidays and all of the babies and pregnant people in our families. So we went to the Bahamas over Christmas. It was wonderful to have some alone time together separate from both of our jobs(which we are not loving) and IF stuff. We could haves stayed there much longer! Next up we have DHs friended wedding in Florida in a few months. 
Me:30 low AMH; DH:30 MFI (count, motility, morphology) 2 rounds clomid 100 mg -BFN IUI#1- 25 mg clomid- July 2012= BFN! IUI #2 August = BFN! IUI #3 September = BFN! IVF #1 November - converted to IUI #4 due to poor response = BFN IVF #1.2 February- converted to IUI #5 due to poor response = BFN IVF #1.3 April- micro dose Lupron flare with HGH; 14R, 13M, 11F! Hi ladies! ER is set for Tuesday! I am excited, but really nervous because of last times outcome. I think I'll be able to breath better after retrieval. We will be doing ICSI.

QOTW: I took a job as a cheerleading coach this year and the unexpected paycheck is a good one so I think I will surprise DH and fly us out to see his brothers in LA. We also go to Portland ME every year for our anniversay in March.

DX: Infertile 6/11 Me: LPD, all other blood work clear. May/ 2013 Egg maturity and quality issues.. DH: low sperm motility,low count.
Met with RE start clomid + TI + IUI 5/12= IUI cancelled due to positive Cystic Fibrosis carrier test. DH tested Neg. for Cystic Fibrosis,
6/12 Clomid + TI +IUI=BFN 8/10 IVF consult.
IVF #1 Started BCP 9/2 Lupron 10/11 stims 10/27 ER 11/6!! 5 eggs retreived only 1 mature. FERT report shows none made it.Cancelled cycle.
IVF #2 BCP 11/18 Lupron 12/14
Stims start 12/29 ER 1/8 ET 1/11 put in 1 grade B and 1 grade C. Beta: 1/20=BFN
Second opinion at new clinic TBD
decided to stick with old clinic with new plan.
5/3 started metformin for IVF # 3 set to start in July!!!

Good morning, Ladies! 

Today is day 12 of Lupron for me. I go back in again on Wed. for b/w & u/s. My stupid spastic ovaries better be shut down by then so i can start stims! (they were way too active after day 5 & day 7).  I am keeping my fingers crossed there are no more bumps in the road. 

 

QOTW: we recently took an amazing anniversary trip to Costa Rica in Nov. it was seriously the best medicine for dealing with infertility! We also just got plane tickets for Christmas  to my in laws house in Florida, so i am looking forward to heading south to sunny Florida in the next few months.

Me (33)- unexplained MH (35)- MFI due to Vericocele. Straight to IVF w/ICSI 9/12, Antagonist = BFN c/p, poor quality blasts, tested sperm dna fragmentation. Results all good, yay! New RE for IVF #2- 1/13., Long Lupron. ER on 1/22 -10R, 9M, 9F. Transfer on hold due to overstimming. FET in Feb. 2 frozen blasts. Another BFN & another c/p. RPL testing all negative besides MTHFR gene, vericocle repair surgery 4/12/13-Bilateral Grade 3 Vericocele found & fixed, IVF #3 with PGS 4/13- 11R, 9M, 9F. Transferred 2 normal=BFN, 3 normal on ice Everyone Welcome!!!

Still hanging out on BCP, should be starting Lupron  before the end of the week. My nurse is supposed to be emailing me my calendar on Mon or Tues, so that will give me a better idea of when ER/ET will be.

QOTD: We're taking a 3 day weekend in Feb and just taking a night away at a hotel somewhere out of town as our late Christmas gift to each other. And DH's birthday is July 3rd, so we took that week off to spend with family. Other then that, nothing planned. We both started new jobs this past year and don't have a lot of PTO yet, so we're saving it in case we **hopefully** need it for maternity leave at the end of the year.

Well the witch finally graced me with her presence today so I will call RE tomorrow to set up first appointment for our monitoring cycle. Hoping AF comes on time this cycle so we can get started with our first IUI in early Feb!

Q: DH and I have plans to visit family and friends in FL over Labor Day weekend. And possibly a trip to KY to visit his dad over Thanksgiving.
TTC since June 2011
DX: DH (30) severe MFI, severely low count & low motility
Me (32): all clear
Appt with Urologist 5/21/12: exam, ultrasound, bloodwork all normal.
Testicular Biopsy with TESE on 6/8/12. good sperm found! (left side only) froze sperm, failed thaw test :(
Orientation for IVF/ICSI on 6/13/12. Waiting for the green light following biopsy results...results show adequate sperm production both sides.
2nd SA 6/18/12: sample is "adequate for ICSI"
Plan: IVF/ICSI July 2012!
ER: 7/26/12. 15 eggs retrieved, all mature.
TESE/TESA/aspiration from epididymis, no motile sperm found :(
froze all eggs, the saga of praying for good sperm continues.
8/3/12: 2nd opinion from MFI uro on biopsy slides. Suspects "partial late maturation arrest."
Plan: more SAs, third biopsy/TESE with frozen back-up either from DH or DS.
SA 8/17/12: Zero sperm
SA 8/23/12: Zero sperm
9/26/12: SPERM FOUND! 15 eggs thawed, 12 survived and were ICSI'd, only 3 fertilized normally. Refrozen as embies and will thaw in Nov. Please survive and grow!
All 3 survived the thaw on 11/15/12!
FET 11/17/12: transferred 2, one 4B, one 4C. Beta 11/30:BFFN
moving on to DS
DIUI#1 2/18/13,50mg Clomid cd 3-7, Ovidrel trigger, Beta 3/4/13: BFN.

We are on day 2 of stims. Estimated retrieval sometime between the week of 14-18th!

QOTW: My little sister graduates from college this spring.  We're flying out in May to watch because I'm really proud of her...and because the school is in Florida.  Although DH pointed out that if we get in a round of IVF and it works I won't be able to go on any rides at Disney. Oh the sacrifices!

We're in the 2ww of IUI #5 (mix cycle of clomid/menopur). Hubby is still taking 50 mg clomid daily. He has his SA beginning of February and we'll be able to compare it to his August one and see (hopefully!) a significant change.

If this cycle is a bust we're planning 3 more mix IUI cycles and then probably just natural IUIs until we can comfortably afford IVF.

We have a lot of dream vacations planned, just working on setting down the dates. One of the bigger vacations is a family reunion to Belize. It will be awesome!

Jan '13: 50 mg clomid + menopur + ovidrel + IUI#6 = BFFN
Tired of all this crap. Taking a break. Plan: hubby on 50 mg clomid to try to raise count. T levels have tripled! Repeat SA in March.

Planning his SA for this coming Friday.  For the IUI he was 7 million postwash, which I was kinda excited. I mean his first SA was 98% nonmobile, so 7 million mobile must be an improvement?  I'll be glad when we get these numbers.

We're going to go ahead and try an IUI again this cycle

He's still taking 50mg clomid, and he takes ProXeed twice a day.

ETA: This year is our 5th anniversary, so we're saving up for a nice vacation.  BUT if there happens to be a baby on the way, I'll take that as the best anniversary gift.

I would love to be part of this group. We are in the beginning stages of IF testing and I am looking for support. So far DH had his first SA and it was low count (half a million) and no motility. He is going to do the test again and see a urologist. I don't know any of the options in this scenario except IVF. (A good friend of mine was in almost this exact MI situation and had twins due to IVF). Not sure if there is anything that can be done to change the count/motility. Maybe some of you can advise.

Wanted to give an update on myself.  I had a mid-cycle ultrasound this morning, and everything looked great!  I have a small uterine fibroid, but it is not blocking anything.  I have a follie on my left ovary measuring 20mm, which means, I am ovulating on my own, huge relief.

Now, DH and I are going forward with the DIUI next cycle.  We are going to check out the site tonight, and gather info so we can have everything ready to go next month.  So, february will be our month.
BFP #1 3/27/07-M/C 8weeks 5/3/07 "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away." IUI #1+trigger=BFP!!! 3/20/13 - u/s baby exactly 8 weeks w/heart rate of 179!! 4/23/13- heard heart beat on the doppler at the doctors, heart rate 160!!! No news yet, just playing the waiting game. Had a rough weekend and am trying hard to stay positive.

 

Vacation? Yes! Hoping to do a trip over Thanksgiving. Maybe Belize or Honduras. Need to start doing a little online research for deals.

We are planning to go somewhere warm in May for our anniversary. Maybe dominican :)

Also can you adjust my check in we are doing Natural doner IUI cycles I go in to my 2nd doner IUI tomorrow. We are doing doner because we have Azoo and nothing to play with :(

DH's first SA came back zero sperm count.  We have an appt. with the Uro on 2/7 and the RE on 2/14.  We will know more then.

QOTD: We are going to a lake in New Hampshire with my mom and the dogs in July.  It will be nice and relaxing.

Dx: Unexplained Azoo; all blood work normal (including chromosomal abnormality screens); no blockages; 2 SAs with zero sperm, TESA scheduled for 4/11
