Andrew nn Andy?

Hi ladies!

DH and I were discussing possible future kiddo's names tonight. Our current DD is Ella Elizabeth, and we have agreed on Audrey Caroline for a possible future DD 

I really like Andrew, with the nn Andy. MN would probably be James, after DH's Dad.

WDYT??

I love Andrew, as it is my dad's name (also goes by Andy). :-) Andrew James is a perfectly nice name.

Nothing wrong with it but seems like I grew up with so many Andrew's who went by Andy.. Which gives it an 80's feel for me.

I have friends who are tossing around Andrew James. Both the uncles are Andrews- one goes by Andrew and the other by Drew.

Btw, my DH has a big family but he has a sister named Elizabeth and brother Andrew who exclusively goes by Andy so I have to say nice sibset as well!  

ETA: Oops, I had a bit of a reading fail. I am happy your DD's name is Ella Elizabeth. I thought Ella was a bit of a strange nn for Elizabeth! ;-) Still a great sibset!

I love it, but I'm biased since that's my DH's name. We've considered naming a future baby Andrew but calling him Drew instead.

Love! Andrew's on our list.  I prefer Andy; I know a lot of jerky Drews. We only plan to use Andy while he's little and only inside the family as a pet name; he'd go by Andrew publicly.

dx homozygous for 3 thrombophilias, poor egg quality, and most likely autoimmune problem. Anything I'm missing?

We actually considered the name Drew but felt it was too short/ nicknamey.  We like Andrew but didn't want anyone calling him Andy so we stayed away from it.  Like PP, I know a lot of Andys from childhood and it has an 80's feel (along with negative associations) for me.

Andrew James sounds really nice though. I'd just lean towards Drew or even AJ.

It is popular. LOL, when DS was in scouts, we had multiple Andrews. I once worked with six random kids on a project and all 6 were named Andrew. We used to joke that Patrol A should have been the Andys.

I love the name Andrew.  I don't really love it shortened.  But it is such a great name!

7 week u/s revealed THREE babies, all with heartbeats. 153bpm, 148bpm, and 136bpm
9 week u/s revealed loss of Baby B. A and C are growing on track. A measuring 9w1d with 172bpm and C measuring 9w0d with 179 bpm.
