End of maternity leave

Tomorrow is the last day of my maternity leave.  I go back to work on Tuesday and I am soooooooo depressed about it.  I don't understand how I'm supposed to be ok with only seeing my LO for an hour in the morning and an hour or two in the evening. =(

Where's the like button for this post? I'm in the same exact situation. I go back Feb 5th and will only get to see LO for an hour in the morning and a couple of hours each evening. UGH!

I go back on January 22, and already am dreading it. I say we all up and move to Switzerland! I think maternity leave is two years there?

Best if luck tomorrow. I know it'll be hard, but just think about how happy lo will be to see you!!

DS has been in DC for 3 weeks now.  There is hope!  While I still miss him like crazy, it does get easier.

I go back to work next week and I'm also so depressed about it . I never thought I would want to be a stay at home mom. I'm worried about all the silly things like will baby like me less, baby will cry all day, etc. I should consider myself lucky because DH will watch herin the morning and my sis will watch Her a few hours after that. I just think baby should be with her mommy. So sad.

Ugh I go back on Feb. 11, and even though it's a few weeks away I am still dreading it.  I'm so anxious about it.  I haven't been away from LO for more than an hour since he's been born, when I go back to work I'll only see him for a few hours a day.  I'm going to be so sad.

Sadly I've been kind of looking forward to returning to work next week since DS2 has been quite the challenge after my first was SO easy. This weekend and today however it seems like he's turned a corner, less fussy able to sleep without being held, etc and now I'm not so sure about wanting to go to work! I wish I could work PT so that I could still get out and work but see my little ones more than 2 to 3 hours a day.

I'm in the same boat - worst feeling ever.   I will go back next week for half days for a week to get LO used to daycare, but I think its more for me to get used to it !   Before I had him I couldn't imagine staying home with kids.  I always used to say how millions of kids go to daycare so it will be fine, but now I totally get it.   Unfortunately I need to continue working and am so not looking for to it.  I feel like I'll be a weekend mom.  So glad I'm not the only one !

I go back Thursday.  After doing it with DS1 I can guarantee it's not as bad as I predicted. Hard? Yes. Especially at first. However once you establish a routine it's not bad and it's nice to regain yourself aside from being a mom IMO.  Also once they get a little older you get more time with them.  I always tell myself I work to better their life.  Good luck, I hope it goes well for you.
