Mirena & TTC

I currently use Mirena for BC. I used implant #1 for 5 years and I'm on year #2 of implant #2 - so a total of 7 years. DH and I will TTC sometime this summer. I have my annual gyno apt in June and plan on having them remove the Mirena at that time. 

Has anyone else used Mirena?

I had Mirena in for about five years, I had it removed in August 2012. Good luck!

Uh....... more than likely if we are still posting here, we have yet to get pregnant.

Why do you think you're having trouble? It can take up to a year for a healthy couple to get pregnant.

Yep - I had Mirena for 3 years before getting it removed October 2012. My hormones were super wacky the first couple cycles - but I'm feeling much better now and very hopeful! :)

Just had mine removed at the end of November. Just started my 2nd cycle since its removal.

Four months does not equal trouble.
I got mine out in October 2011 and here I am, although I can't really blame Mirena for that.

I got pregnant 3 months after removal but had a miscarriage at 5 weeks.  Still not pregnant.  Give it time---your body needs to readjust.

I had my first Mirena in for 2 years, had it removed in April 2010. I had my daughter April 2011. We waited 3 months before trying and got pregnant on our first try.

I just had my second Mirena removed on Dec. 17th, 2012. This is our first months trying, so we will see what happens. My OBGYN told me that it leaves your system instantly and she told us that we can start trying right away.

I had my Mirena for 5.5 years, had it removed February 28, got pregnant during my June cycle, but lost it at 4w2d.

I had one in for almost a year and a half. Had it removed a couple months ago. 

My cycles are still regulating and I hope to get a handle on it soon. Is there anything more specific that you were wondering about? The question you asked was kind of broad.
