Cabinet latches are nice. Some people do fridge locks, toilet locks, oven locks, etc...We just do the cabinet under the sink, and our entertainment stand.

This gate is fabulous. Well worth the price. It is a walk through gate so you just open it like a door, go through and shut it again. It is also pressure mounted so it can be moved later. This was perfect for our house. We had one of those cheap $20 wood pressure mounted things that you have to use the stick lever and move the WHOLE gate to get through, or try to step over it. This gate is much better because the area to the stairs is also where the front and garage doors into the house are, as well as the dog bowls (all things we use several times a day and all things we need to keep her away from).

Furniture straps for anything that's a tipping hazard.  We put a lock up high on our basement door because it opens easily, same for our bathroom door.  Some things you don't need right now but should just keep in mind are: doorknob covers for rooms you don't want her in, an oven lock and an oven range guard.  We didn't need those things for a long time because my kid is short and only in the last few months could reach hot burners or knew to drag a chair over to "see cooking." :)
